So far from all of the onse I have seen during this series the only one I have acctually thought "yes I would totally pay that" for a cake is the first one. LISSTEN I know how expensive it can get to make and that art takes skill and practice but clearly those other two cakes didn´t have to cost that much since the first one was both better AND cheaper! In fact I would gladly pay the prize for cake one AND two just for cake one.

I would pay that price for #1. They did an excellent job airbrushing and I love the flavors of the cake. I would take 1 point off for not tapering the bottom more. But otherwise it’s perfect.

It's fascinating to see all the different interpretations of the jack o lantern! Especially to see the different shades of orange/yellow and brown they use. I am a Baking and Pastry Arts student and we recently had to make a fall harvest themed cake to show off the fondant skills etc. and I'll admit, I spent so much time trying to get that nice shade of orange. Didn't end up getting the shade I wanted but it was still an interesting looking cake! Anyways, I love these kinds of videos of giving the bakeries the same theme and letting them just go with it! (Oh I do think the eyes not being level on the third cake is honestly realistic. Let's be honest. When we carve pumpkins, they aren't always perfect)

I think I like making the cakes and simple decorating over the super detailed kind of decorated. I can make you fondant/gum paste flowers but I will not be happy if you ask me to do it out of buttercream.

This is the first video of yours I’ve ever seen and I immediately subscribed. I LOVE how positive you are even when talking about the things you would’ve done differently. A lot of times when I watch those super negative review videos where the creators just say the harshest things in the most degrading tones, I find myself thinking “somebody worked REALLY hard on that, I can’t imagine how they’d feel watching this video” but with your video, I feel like the people who made these cakes would still feel that sense of accomplishment accomplishment and still feel proud of their art, and maybe they’d even take in your suggestions and use your tips to improve. It’s just so refreshing to see a human treating other humans like humans, I wish there were more uplifting people like you in this world!!

Loved the video. I used to decorate cakes for compettion when I was younger (4-H for those that know) and I love baking. The only sad part was when you were comparing yourself to your brothers. No, you may not be a genius or be super smart, but you're very smart about other things, funny, make so many people smile and make people happy. I've had a rough day with body pain, and watching this video made me happy. I know it can be hard not to compare ourselves with others (especially siblings, or other family members), but know you're great and I know many other people think so as well. :)

Ok so I won't lie I actually really like how cake 3 looks HOWEVER for a professional cake making business and for that price they sold it at, IT IS RIDICULOUS that it looks like that. I like how it looks because I like the more cartoony look it has compared to the others and also like how it is a bit more homemade looking. Like if my mother or friend made this for me I would adore it. However for over 200 dollars and it tasting blander than air, come on lol A really interesting idea for a cake for Christmas could be those vintage ceramic Christmas Trees that have lights! It would be interesting, either for you or for bakeries, to try and do!

It's definitely the inside that counts, I've known so many cakes that cost hundreds of dollars (or more) that tasted AWFUL or were so focused on elaborate fondant decorations that there was barely any cake. This is actually the reason I don't eat cake at parties or events anymore because it's rare to have a cake that's pretty but also tastes good.

You need to do this for all the holidays. Do a series. One of the other youtubers I watch do a 5 star bakery vs 1 star bakery. Give them the exact same directions and see how it turns out. I like that idea too. And the last suggestion dress up with the theme.

I liked the looks of the first and third cakes. But i would have also been disappointed with a pumpkin cake that didn't taste like pumpkin. Caramel- apple- pecan sounds like a winning flavor combination... so i would have probably picked 1 also, based on flavor.

The 1st cake was my personal favorite as far as design goes. While a lot of work still went into it, i loved the minimalistic feel of it. Perfect example of less is more. Flavor profile wise (while I can't personally taste them) I have been obsessed with all things caramel lately. Despite my love of red velvet, #1 would win on taste as well.
