Sylph Natural People fear death because they have identified themselves as an isolated image, which is the soul/self/ego. "I" is usually what we give our status, our roles, our ideas and concepts about ourselves, none of which is the actual organism as it is in relation to the environment, the biosphere, the universe, and ultimately, the cosmos itself. If one feels other than what there is, they will surely be scared at the idea of being cut off from what there is, but the cutting off is merely changes of form and process. Such a thing - the ego - does not exist, so there is no 'other side' to go to. For there to be an other side, things have to be isolate, standalone, but if there's one thing science has shown us, it's that all things are interconnected, interdependent, and impermanent in their form; all things are change in a non-dualistic cosmos.
@DestinFate9 жыл бұрын
ShakinJamacian and what has it brought you than
@ShakinJamacian9 жыл бұрын
Destin Fate What do you mean? The realization of the loss of ego? One is simply a pattern of existence in nature that goes with the cosmos. When the pattern ends, it goes into other things. This is literally a natural kind of 'reincarnation. The spook is that by feeling like a self or feeling a separate "I" promotes that things are cut off; they are not. I'm kind of confused by the proposition here. It hasn't brought "me" anything because the whole point if the illusion of self is that the "me" I identify as does not actually exist in nature. One is an organism in combination with environment, and most people feel the "I" that exists are ideas, labels, statues they are. This all might sound confusing to explain, but getting the experience of ego death really brings this to clarity. Alan Watts talks about this a lot, but if you're looking for someone from the sciences to show this isn't hogwash, I'd suggest Sam Harris.

I realized this in a meditation a few weeks ago, but in the words I needed to hear, were “you can’t do anything wrong” - and it meant by by finding and following my life - or not finding/following it. What matters is to have this human experience, whatever shape and form it has. Because it’s all information which will be brought ‘home’. I asked further, and was told, the only person this experience matters to, or matters the most, is me. Me as this 3D character. So I shall decide to live a life that’s meaningful TO ME, and only to me. My higher self will value any path I take, even if it’s deviates from the initial intention of the incarnation (the game). It’s all an illusion, all this fear. It’s all to keep us trapped in their power play to make them feel important. Guess what, they are not.

Sad, well sad because when you hear his words it makes you realize that the world could be used in such better ways when compared to the badness that happens. Happy because when you hear his words it makes you realize that no matter what, no matter what evil or badness may be out there ruining it for others, that there are people just like Alan was, whom have such a clear and better view on the world and it's (goodness).

The secret of life is to be "completely engaged in what you are doing now." I can take this further by expanding on it, "to feel passion and to be in love with life." To not look too far ahead in the future or dwell in the past, it is to be conscious of your awareness now. To feel your heart opening and surrendering to the sights, sounds and images that excite our senses. To not think with the mind, but feel the energy of life. There is life in everything around us…in nature, music, words, busy streets, etc. To be awake and to breathe in the oxygen of living in the now.

Therefore I have not become enriched by any information or advice that would get me out of this emotional crisis. Not very inspiring. He is pretty much stating the obvious with piano in the background. I can't base my future on the spontaneity of life.

Arvid Aasa True, it's better and simpler. He does state that death is not your only true freedom. Living in the here and now is too. But then again what is your here and now? I'm supposed to be studying right now yet I'm answering you. Tomorrow I will go to school I'll be happy to be with my friends and make jokes. Right now I don't want to make homework if I stay true to my "now" I'll waste an other day of my life not preparing for the future. After school I'll be going to work so I make money to eat, live. That work is my now in a way. To live i need that job. But in few years ill be miserable because i don't love that job. But I don't like school either. Again. He doesn't give reasons why things should be different. Life is random.

Life is now when you wake up you open your eyes and find out your alive... It doesn't have to mean anything but simply give thanks and walk on... Just be present in everything... Feel the pain the pleasure the love etc... You would understand life... Life is not a word because you are not words it must not mean anything because that question is completely irrelevant... Life is like a grass in a field it is significant on itself, later wither or eaten by animals but it doesn't not question itself but simply existed it doesn't mean anything... To have a meaningful life is simply to stop questioning and just start of living, feeling, loving, etc... To add something intellectual questioning to that is to not understand it at all...
