In reality under the surface, you are all the actor marvellously skilled in playing many parts and in getting lost in the mazes of your own mind and the entanglements of your own affairs

@@taliahood9825 You need Jesus Christ and the Bible They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB) Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. He’s achieving enlightenment as a person who is an a-list Hollywood actor. This is beyond amazing. He’s surrounded by a fake world and realizes it’s all meaningless. He achieved ego death in an environment that is pure ego. He’s the equivalent of a genius.

He managed to keep his true self unspoiled. He knew he was wearing a mask, he got 1 million dollar for this movie (research that story, i actually believe him) just as he wished for, from then it was a just repressing what he knew was true, but still keep being occupied in the maze bc people loved to see him in movies. Then the Andy Kaufmann movie came, where he completely swapped his persona, after that the already wirn out persona-suit just wouldn't fit at all anymore. Jim Carrey is absolutely amazing in the purest sense of the word. The fact that he is still well and alive... he must have someone that really watches out for him, he is strong. I think Robin Williams, not saying he wasn't strong, but I think he killed himself bc he knew he was trapped and didn't see any escape. Know the speech from Jim at the maharichi university where he presents his giant painting? "Getting chased by a big black dog in your dreams is something entirely different than getting chased by one in reality" or smth like that, still don't 100% get it, but I can imagine if you free yourself out of such a devil's pit it won't be without a resistance and someone sending their demon dogs after him to drive him nuts and keep him captive

Depression is, in fact, a desease. It's not all about thoughts, but also about chemicals reactions in your brain that you can't control. So yeah, thoughts are a part of our individual reality, but thinking that we can fully control a thing so powerful and beyond our comprehension as our brains (that create the illusion of our individual reality)... is pure ego. I assume (and hope so) that none of you have mental illness beause the struggle is real and not people's fault. Have beautiful day 🍁

A Buddhist monk once instructed me to look around the room. He told me to listen to the noises around me. He asked me if I could control what I see. I said no. He asked if I could control what I hear. I said no. Then he told me that thoughts are simply another sense. We cannot stop them from arising. He said that nobody ever comes to him asking him how they can stop hearing cars or trains. But they ask how they can stop thoughts. We can’t control our thoughts. But we can notice them and let them pass. You can’t cure depression by trying to force yourself not to think depressing thoughts. But you may be able to help your depression by learning to not become attached to those thoughts, and to simply observe them and let them pass instead.

The reality is nobody is crazy, judgements about somebody else are just thoughts which are determined by the conditioned mind. Differences of opinion and in particular disagreements and arguments on social media are just magnifications of the egoic need to be right. The ego creates dualism. Any opinion or belief anybody has is completely impersonal and yet people go to extraordinary lengths to impose what they think on others, the insatiable need to be right. People are not defending their opinions but rather defending their very identity since ego literally means identification with form and it equates any difference of opinion as an attack on its existence. And that is why humans go to such extraordinary lengths to assert that what they believe is right. Thoughts and opinions are neither right or wrong and they are completely impersonal.

At the end it seems new age / mysticism doesn't really help when coming to the end of ones life. George Harrison of the famous Beatles group, in one of his final interviews before dying of brain cancer spent much of his life in this type of thinking. Including Alan Watts teachings and many others like him. And it was very sad to hear him admit, knowing his death was close at hand. After all the time, money and effort spent into this type of teachings, he was terrified of dying. Everything he was told about life, it's meaning and beyond death, teachings from people like ( Alan Watts, Eckhart Tolle, etc etc ) Gave him absolutely no comfort or peace at the coming of his death. George Harrison was like many people who have passed away, and had an opportunity to think about his mortality, the purpose and meaning of life and beyond death. Yet everything he learnt while alive and a healthy person from people like Alan Watts, Eckhart Tolle and others, was more than sufficient. But when he needed it the most, it failed on every level. I would not hope that on any person. Here's a site i came across that gives logic and reason, with real peace - doesgodexistandbeyond.com/

"humans do not create reality" if you'r talking about the human body you'r right but if you'r talking in general including the consciousness that's behind every human we do create reallity, and in quantum it will be the double slit experiment. I have always loved, respected and admired Jim Carey. For someone to play the characters that he has as an actor definitely makes for a very interesting and deep thinking man. He is the best at his craft. When I first saw an interview with him, he seemed reserved, but as time went on I was actually surprised at his truth and depth of self. When I first started watching videos of Alan Watts I was completely drawn in and fascinated by his ability to get people's thoughts and feelings and express them in his own unique way. I do not think that he got the recognition that he deserved. He was definitely more than a self-styled, "philosophical entertainer". I remember when I read his autobiography, In My Own Way, I clearly understood his path and the roads he decided to take. He definitely knew how to "integrate the spiritual with the material”.

Ego is like a processing system we all are living through it and continue to live through it. It’s your ego that tells you to stop at a stop sign, it’s your ego that tells you to wear a seat belt. Take it up a notch it’s you ego that identities who “you” think you are. I could be a philanthropist helping the 3rd world children but my ego might still be envolved labeling me as a “philanthropist” giving me an identity so if I decide not to help kids tomorrow my ego will make me feel bad or guilty. You see our entire life has been controlled by our ego. It’s not necessarily a bad thing but it creates a dillusion of self. You are not who you really think you are everything that you’ve learned believed knows is all a creation of your imagination in reality it doesn’t exist. All that exists is the awareness behind the ego through the ego, the awareness of what’s is being aware. The thing your searching for does not exist all that exists is nothing and that’s everything. Nothing last forever so be nothing and live forever.
@mackymoo1329
@mackymoo1329 3 жыл бұрын
MustObeyTheRules That is completely the opposite but it makes sense sometimes. Having way too conscious of yourself is a gift and a curse at best because: 1.) You truly know how the world works, 2.) it feels like that you need to do something or fix the problem, and 3.) youre suffering through a lot of stress because of it and never stop thinking and it ruins your life if you cant tame it. Its better if you can control what you think, not control everything you think whats there to control. You are the captain of your own ship. Steer it to The right way where it was pre-destined to be. Not where the storm leads you astray unto the vastness of the sea. But sometimes the storm is so strong that you cant control it and so just let it be, because a second after the storm, you are in a safe place where its better than the place you have chosen to take. Life is full of beautiful paradox and its a mystery.

Gillian Sernich... I got a similar feeling that you describe when listening to Alan Watts lectures. I am not sure if that is my own ego making a judgment, or I am not understanding what Spiritual teachers are supposed to be like. Something I have learned about Jim's transformation is that Spirituality takes many forms and doesn't need to fit into one package that I approve of. The universe is universal, so the universe can manifest Spiritual teachers in many ways that I may not always understand. Not trying to criticize your comment. What you said just sparked a realization in myself.

It passed right through me... It’s so clear.! We are all actors, trying to be the character we think everyone is expecting... That separates profoundly the real self from the character. We are forcing that, everyday. That takes us to despair, to frustration when our boss, the neighbor, parents, children, girlfriend or boyfriend did not applaud like we expected them to... I hope everyone of us could find the true self without caring so much about what they say, that’s real freedom, of course respecting the other, otherwise we would be doing the same thing we criticize! Poor Jim Carrey, I’m happy for him, right?

The true self is that there is no self. There is no you that your searching for. Behind the ego behind all these identities you’ve created it there’s only one thing that exists and that’s awareness. There is no you and I there’s nothing. It’s uncomfortable for people to accept there’s nothing “you mean to telll me I worked this hard only to realize all the pain I’ve been through was for nothing” yes in philosophical terms and spiritual. You’re material self is gnna die anyways. But your ego if self the person you identify with doesn’t even exist in reality it only exists in what you think is your mind but in reality there just is. This is the level of enlightenment you achieve when you no longer want for anything. Hats off to Jim, he is wildly successful in his chosen art and expect he is also well off. So it's evident to be able to step back from all that and then take another path and attempt to educate those around you. If Hollywood shuns you as a result, no big deal, he's made enough to last 10 lifetimes. He isn't insane, he has found clear perspective. If you are a starving actor or a regular Joe that *must* hold down a job to keep a roof over their heads and feed their families, you can believe all you like that everything is fake. However, not as easy to throw it all away to pursue that belief when mortgage day comes or when it's time to put dinner on the table. So for most, acting is the means to survival. We are all actors.

You are whoever you program yourself to be. Sometimes the problem is that you or your environment has programmed you to be something you shouldn’t. Then you become trapped in that program. For example: If you were swapped from your parents at birth you’d be programmed to be a different person from who you are today. So basically, you can become whoever or whatever you reprogram yourself to be. It requires a resilient, strong, passionate, open - minded, flexible, creative, and courageous person to leave who and what you’ve always known yourself to be and believe - to become the brilliant unknown person you don’t think you could be. Sometimes actors get so caught up in their characters that they question the reality of who they really are. I’ve heard this happens to undercover cops too. I do know that there are advantages to being adaptable and reprogrammable. Some of us do it unknowingly when we change careers a few times. Or living multiple lives. How many mask do you wear? Who are you? Look in the mirror and visualize who you want to be and spiritually throw away all the mask that you wear which makes you unhappy with who you are. I can go on and on, and I hope this lil peace of my mind makes sense. Just wake up and decide who you want to be and remain resolute to start reprogramming your mind, body, and spirit towards that vision👍🏾. Wow. This was a powerful video. I love it.

I thought the exast same thing when I learn about LOA and dig up the teaching, I also think that actor is special "job" because you really have to change "character" and own "personality" very often ... must be kind of ... destabilizing ...

it was you that was depressed and your ego that was responsible for it while blaming you for it. I am very aware of my ego now, I am not free from it, and not always awake, but I get better in being aware of the moment. It is weird really, I sometimes feel a bit like a split personality type of thing, but I rather have a civil war in my head than just having faschists take over without even really realizing there was a putch

Dennis Weaver wrote a book, "All the World's a Stage." I saw him speak at the Self-Realization Fellowship in Pacific Palisades and Hollywood. His Guru was Paramahansa Yogananda. Dennis Weaver really understood how to meditate and how to teach others to meditate and find one's true Self. Looks like Jim Carrey has found a peaceful way of Being.

Hey. I started feeling like this all of a sudden, when I was out on a long run. Was so subtle, it started with me questioning who's looking out of my eyes, and I couldn't answer it. I've never felt this awake in my entire life. I feel amazing also. I don't know how it happened but it happened

It’s called demon possession. Meditation opens up your mind, but to what? Demonic entities, who trick you deceive you and want to do nothing but harm and evil. Call on the name of Jesus Christ, demons despise His Holy name and you probably will too because the evil spirits are inside of you doing everything in their power to tear you away from the truth, the life and the way. Jesus is the light of this world and demons are afraid of His power. Hallelujah
