Thanks, Dave. I never fail to learn something new and useful. For the same effect, I often use Nik's Darken/Lighten Center filter and would like to a see a tutorial on your approaches to refine that. Of course, TK's Vignette and Spotlight Tools are another way.

I think using contrast with the spotlight produces some powerful results….! Like the use of colour… must give that a try… cheers for that one … and of course, the countless other tips..

As always a very good video Dave! I find that is a really simple way to play with the light, to direct the focus for the viewer. Most importantly - you don't need a plugin (even though I like to use them) and it's done quickly. I do this most of the time too, for the final touch.
