I love my euphorbia lactea ghost. Mine spent all summer outside. Slow growing in comparison to some of my other euphorbia. They sent you the most beautiful specimen! Just gorgeous 😍

I love mine as well. I bought my baby about a year ago, and haven't had any bew growth yet. I repot it a few weeks ago, gave it much better soil, moved her to the cutest little terracotta pot, and put it on a little riser thingy from the Target dollar spot so it is now closer to the grow lights. Fingers crossed I start getting some new growth, FINALLY

I have a euphorbia ghost that I got as a baby. It lives right in the east facing window. It has grown about 5 inches this year and grew 2 arms. It doesn't like to stay dry. I let it dry out but I give it a good soaking when it gets dry.

Omgosh that Euphorbia Lactea!!! She’s a BEAST!! I’d put an extra high light grow light on it. I don’t tend to jump on the trends, my wish list is still full of plants that have been around for a while that I haven’t gotten my hands on, or I’m waiting for prices to come down. I don’t buy online, our local nurseries bring in a good selection of rares and are WAY cheaper than online stores, plus no shipping cost or damage. One of my first was the Hoya compacta, I bought a 2 inch cutting for 45$ (plus shipping) 2 years ago, now the same size, that are EVERYWHERE now are 3-7$ I don’t particularly enjoy Pellionia myself. That callistophylla though!!! Yummy!! Whoa, that dreceana!! Haven’t seen it it’s gorgeous!! Looks like a dieffenbachia, all those velvet anthuriumssall look the same to me, however I was thrilled to find medium sized Vittarifolium for 16$ here locally!!!

I have gotten a large white ghost at a local plant show fairly recently and it’s an absolute showstopper! The pinkish bits are actually from sun stressing and the yellowish tips are the new growth. They need to be blasted with light to grow. Mine sits in a south facing window (in Southern Europe) and has a strong Sansi grow bulb placed only 10cm from the top of the plant.

A plant I’ve seen pop up that’s caught my eye recently is the Cercestis Mirabilis. Grow Tropicals and House of Kojo stock them but are OOS currently. Patiently waiting as it looks so striking ❤

OH WOW! That Euphorbia Lactea White Ghost is beautiful! I snagged one at a big box store a few months ago and I love it! I had no idea I was 'trendy'. LOL. I haven't owned mine long enough to give great tips. However, it has new growth points. They are yellow and not pink. As for the Hoya Black Cat... stunning! I collect hoya and I need this one! LOL

I love grow tropicals plants. They always arrive in great condition, very well packed and many times with multiples in each pot. I bought a bird of paradise and even that one had two plants in one pot. Buy one, get one free, lol. Two or so weeks ago I got my alocasia frydek variegated that came with 7 growing corms. I took the plant out of the soil and now it is living in nutrition solution, all the corms attached to their mother. I want to move it to leca eventually, but I want to watch the babies to grow first to learn how do they do it 😁 Two of the corms tips are already starting to split, poking their heads out. Can't wait for them to start growing above the water level (in about 1-2cm they will be there) 😍 If I decide to buy more plants, grow tropicals will definitely be my first stop.

I think that next year will be the year of the Begonia. Hoyas will still be popular, but I really think Begonias will be HOT.

so jealous of the variegated pellionia! how epic! I have 2 other versions and i love them! I have them hanging in direct sun in a SW window (Seattle, WA, US) and they have been growing so well and look like waterfalls of leaves! I haven't seen the variegated version sold anywhere in the US currently (even on etsy)... but hopefully they are coming! Awesome!

I agree with the ghost Euphoribia! It is gorgeous, I almost got one one time, but there was a green and Yellow one that stole my heart, ALTHOUGH, the tiny ghost looked NOTHING like the one they gifted you!! HOW LUCKY!!🍀 Seriously, it is Amazing, just incredible. I’d love that one. Can’t wait to see you show it again. Also, the next minty looking one- the Pelionia - looks like a Begonia to me! Not the coloring, but the shape. I really like the look. Have no idea about the Genus. But it’s really pretty! Beautiful Dracaena also. I really like this green on green coloring. Most of my favorite plants are mint/ green on green etc. of course plants are green!!! LOL. But You know what I mean. Not the white, yellow, or cream Variegation, but the green on green. Love watching theses videos when you get new plants. You get so excited and it’s just so cute to watch. You are a darling girl and I so enjoy watching your channel! That accent is just wonderful. This anthurium loves the plant cabinet I’ve potted mine up in anthurium mix and co co husk from grow tropicals. Omg I need that goldina! 😮

I have a euphorbia lactea “white ghost” and i LOVE it, mine grew like crazy in the summer and has stopped growing now that it’s getting colder even though i have it under a grow light, but is still “flowering” for me so my guess is it just needs a good amount of heat! I also just came from another video where a youtube was saying they had more success getting lighter variegation on plants when they receive a good amount of heat

Wow, that large White Ghost must be expensive. I have this plant. I place them outside in summer. They grow a lot faster with hot days and (acclaimed to) almost full sun. But, yes, it is a slow growing plant. They also love a day and night temperature difference. For the exotic dracaena, I also have it for a few years. It can be cultivated like any other dracaena, but mine grows slowly. Mine grows much slower than other dracaena's under the same care.

Five mins in here.. I saw your baby lactea ghost.. and I was like I need one!!! I found one at Home Depot for 20 bucks!!! It’s doing well… it’s always flowering.. and growing. It’s my only plant I’ve experienced mealy bugs on!!!!! I have no idea why! So so grateful they’re wingless! Hahaha any input on what causes the mealy bugs?!

I’ve found the euphorbia white ghost needs both a ton of light and heat!!! I live in Texas and mine grows fairly quickly. I would try a heat mat :)

Oh wow, that huge lactea white ghost is absolutely stunning :) i found mine to be very unproblematic - as someone who's never had any euphorbia before, i bought a freshly cut unrooted piece a few months ago and it rooted (in a plastic cup + very little amt of soil, that i never changed) + picked up growth very fast, so i'm thinking - perhaps the hardiness boils down to motherplant's genetics and you just got unlucky with your OG one?

I blast my euphorbia white ghost with lots of light. It does grow rather slow. I chopped off two “arms” to prop for my daughter. I got very lucky when I purchased my EWG, I found it at a nursery that i frequent for $45 usd. My euphorbia rubra though…it grows quicker and it’s beautiful! I think my rubra was $60 but it’s massive with tons of growth!! I think the anthurium are to stay. With all the different hybrids, it’s like you don’t know what you’re gonna get, and that will stay wildly popular. Hoyas are also here to stay, I decided to be selective so it’s either the leaves or the scent/size of the blooms that will appeal to me, or both.

Omg I need that pellionia repens variegated. I already have two varieties of the pellionia and I love them. They are such an underrated house plant but I looked online for the variegated one and can't find it anywhere in the states. Ugh hopefully I can find one in the spring bcuz I seriously need one now.

in the states, Anthurium show no sign of slowing down in popularity, while the climbing Philos and Monstera seem to be going out of favor. I'm actually not surprised that the climbing Philos and Monstera are losing popularity because of the space they require. You can grow several Anthurium (excluding the big bruisers like warocqueanum and pallidiflorum) in the same amount of space as a single Monstera. The smaller Philos (newer Pink Princess hybrids, Whipple Way, Neon Green Congo, Prince of Orange, etc.) seem to still be in demand.

I agree about the white ghost. I actually saw one in a big box store and didn’t buy it. I have the green version and it’s huge…also I’m not a big fan of variation. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I had to go back the next day. When I got to the store, it was gone. Someone had already purchased it.!!! 😢 I was devastated so I ended up driving to the next closest store which was 25 minutes away and they actually had one!!!!🎉 It is small, so I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on how to grow highly variegated plants with very little green, quickly. Maybe more fertilizer due to the lack of chlorophyll???? I don’t know.

It's wild how prices are so volatile. I found 4" potted euphorbia white ghost in a convenience store that also has plants and flowers in my city for $9 (Canadian). Otherwise, I see it for way more expensive online.

The back of the Pellionia looked a lot like the stems of the garden-type begonia to me. The leaves are really beautiful, though! The Dracaena is BANANAS!! I'm not a big Dracaena person, but I would totally consider that one. I also don't care about the trendiness of a plant as some kind of status thing, though the trends do often make you aware of plants that you may not previously have been aware of. I think velvet-leaf anthuriums will continue to be very popular in the coming year. There is just so much to keep you excited about with anthuriums. There are always new crosses or characteristics to look for, they can be propagated easily, and there is the excitement of getting a baby plant and not really knowing what it will look like as it matures. I bought my first one in June just to "try it out" and now have close to 20. 😳

I had a white ghost euphorbia, but for some unknown reason, my two cats were oddly attracted to swatting at it and knocking it over. It's a beautiful plant, but given how toxic the sap is and how much my cats focused on it, i ended up giving it away. I have a varigated euphorbia (along with lots of other houseplants) that my cats never seem to notice, so I'm not sure why they were so persistent in attacking this one.

Wow 🤩 the Euphoria Lactea White Ghost that you got looks so healthy looking and great variegations. I got 2 online before in the past. They both came battered up and they never refunded me back spend alot of money too 😔I like one without the branching in Euphoria. I like the tall single column types. I no longer shop online anymore too much disappointment and money wasted. So buying plants in person now whenever i see the ones i wanted. I feel everyone is buying Anthuriums and talking about them. Which i am not into never was a fan of Androids and Tropical plants. Also too much maintenance. Hoya Callistophylla Black Cat i got one this summer they are expensive. Callistophylla there are so many forms and types now. I just did my Hoya Collection video if you like to check it out and my houseplant tour too.
