Just finished episode 7 and this KZbin junkie who has watched just about every documentary possible on KZbin wants to tell you that this is by far one of my top 10 favorites I've ever watched. It is the definitive bio on Carol Burnett and will not be topped. Lifelong Carol Burnett fan here. I used to have her autograph but I stupidly sold it when I needed the money. Her story, which is so beautifully and thoroughly told, is one of the greatest rags to riches Hollywood stories ever. Thanks for this great series.

I simply cannot find the words to express my gratitude for your production of this series. I too consider Carol Burnett my all time favorite. Not excluding her comedic genius, I grew up with her. As a military brat that moved frequently during the 60s and 70s, The Carol Burnett show was what we all considered “home”, finding ourselves in Military housing, as a kid, she always comforted me and provided the laughs for our family, and made our temporary housing a Home. After Binge Watching your series I learned so much, I cried and laughed and went down memory lane. My family is gone now, but for seven of your episodes, I was back with my family, loving Carol. I love how Barbara Walters calls it a “run down neighborhood “ Am I missing something ? It looks like a clean cozy neighborhood to me. It’s not Beverly Hills, but most places in the world aren’t Beverly Hills. The apartments look small and basic but clean and kinda cute. I don’t see any junkies or blood stains anywhere. I’d live there. It’s a cute neighborhood.

I watched it all, and now I'm going to miss it. I love that 102 is still there and hasn't changed much. Too many places, buildings, and memories are destroyed. They get replaced with concrete blocks that have no character. I've never been there, but now it feels familiar in an odd sort of way. I have watched endless hours of the show in my lifetime and it has a special place in my heart. "I don't know nothin' about babying no Bertha" "SORRY!" I have cried laughing at Tim Conway. It was a great show. I have always remembered the time when Carol asked someone what their name was (I'm sure I will butcher the spelling) and this woman said, Theresa Renteria. Carol said that was her new favorite name, and she danced around repeating the name. Why that is seared into my brain, I don't know. It just is.

Humbly, well done! Not rushed, well written, captivating, revealing, great voice tone, etc. This was/is such an uplifting story of triumphant success of a genuinely talented artist, actor, comedian, singer, (and all other talents), as a result of hard work and perseverance as your documentary showed. As many do, I suspect, recall watching the Carol Burnett Show growing up, but had no idea of all the challenges she faced while growing up, nor knew of her genuine good-will and caring ways of raising her younger sister and life-long humility and adoration of other entertainers; an admirable and noble (and funny!) person, Ms Carol Burnett, as I learned watching The Justin Root Show. Cheers. PS such a reminder of the passage of time that many of the cast that we watched on tv as kids are now joking and laughing with the angels.

Lots of emotion in this series on Carol Burnett. I'd love to know how many were inspired by her and Carrie coming forward with the addiction issue. Shame keeps many addicts in the downward spiral of substance dependency, and they exposed the monster. So brave, so kind and loving. Justin, you've worked wonders here and I hope to see much more from you. Due to health issues I'm pretty much house bound and you provide such meaningful content in a way I can't explain. First of all, I very much enjoyed this series of videos about Carol burnett. She truly is a comedic genius. I have been a huge fan of hers since her t v show was on the air. It was one of the few shows that my entire family would sit down and watch. It is so rewatchable and applicable even in today's world. Second, I wanted to mention is one of her guest stars is actually buried in my hometown. Nobody really knows that he's buried here. His name was Emmitt Kelly, and he was a world-famous clown. My dad and I went out a couple of years ago now to the cemetery to pay our respects. If you ever see the episode of her show with the Clown sweeps away the light, well, that's him.

The vlogger seems to draw a lot of ironies , One aspect was Ms. Burnett was bought up poor just blocks away from the famous Hollywood Blvd . Another was that her beloved " nanna " wore short skirts and had a much younger boyfriend before she died , Miss Burnett in her senior years is married to a much younger man .
