Mama Kat’s I don’t know if you would see this. My Auntie has Alzheimer’s. She has always been a picky eater. This soup dish she eats it all up. I make it a little thicker for her so she can swallow it easily. It’s easy healthy and I can freeze it in small portion. If I’m not home my family can feed her. Many bless to you and your daughter-in-law.

I made this lentil soup tonight using my Instant Pot. It was the best I've ever had. I've been looking for a recipe that was like the restaurants I buy it from. This was better. I can finally stop looking. It only takes 8 minutes in the pressure cooker.
@Ammarsh19937 жыл бұрын
you used pressure cooker to make a soup. Thats something :D !
@ranielyfire6 жыл бұрын
Ammarsh yea i would imagine if your using dry lentils it takes a while for them to soften - especially for me lol i like them almost mushy
@Margar026 жыл бұрын
Ammarsh soup is one of the best things to make in a pressure cooker. But only if it doesn't contain a bunch of things that take different times to cook. Lentils are a tiny compared to other beans so they cook faster, plus the potatoes and carrots are harder veggies that take longer than other veg. Perfect to put in the pressure cooker! Don't try to do noodle soup (or if you do, boil the noodles separately) in a pressure cooker :D

This soup reminds me so much of Ramadan and of my mother Inlaw she called it sherbet otts. I found out just last week she passed away in Egypt 😔May Allah except her into paradise. Although I’m no longer married to Moma’s son she never stopped being my mother Inlaw or Baba or brother Maged . She’s why I’m muslim today Subhnallah ☝🏻😌. The reason I’m sharing this with you is because I love love your cooking channel. Thanks to you I can learn middle eastern dishes again and save them. Thank you again moma Kat!
