Ken your show is very interesting and informative. A job gives one a sense of pride and a way to support our loved ones but it does not define us completely. Who we are as a human, kindness, love, caring is also important and giving time to our children and spouses. It can't be all work. Balance is something I learned late. A career doesn't love you when you retire. Press on you do good work Ken.

I am having a hard time understanding why finding your 'Life Purpose' has to be tied to a vocation, career , job. Your purpose in life is not to work . I work to fund my life, my life is not my career.

men has to toil in this life…a huge part of life in a men is to create-which the majority of the time we find fulfillment from work, ie a vocation, career and entrepreneurship.

Reason #1; your time is your most valuable commodity. No amount of money has ever purchased a second of time. That reason alone should be enough reason as to why it is imperative to find where you fit into society when it comes to your passion in life. ACTION leads to either success or failure. SUCCESS is the fuel for your PASSION. I really haven't followed Ken for very long, but that sweet spot where your TALENT, PASSION and your life MISSION intersect is your "purpose" in life. You're the cog in this machine of society...we all are. Finding where we all fit in is the equivalent of using the right tool for the job, OR the right cog for the job. When you're in line with your passion/purpose in life, time flies by because you're in a state of "flow". You enjoy that job, excuse me, career so much that if money was no object you would still pursue said career and you'd do it for free. I hope that helps.

@@BlueFlyer83 interesting. Thanks for the reply. Besides paying taxes, and being a law abiding citizen, I have no desire to contribute to society or be a "cog" in a machine I don't control. Money won't buy more time, so why use my most precious asset to pursue money and define that as my purpose? I understand what you are saying, but the things I am passionate about, if they were to become my vocation, I would lose the passion for them . I work to fund my passions and interest. My passions and interests are for my betterment, not societies. Once I give up those things, they cease to be mine . One thing I enjoy about my interests is I control them. I pick them up and put them down when I desire. If they were my job, I lose that ability. My purpose should not be a chore.

1) I played a lot of Pokémon as a kid because I was wildly unpopular and had very little healthy social interaction 2) Daniel Plainview from There Will Be Blood 3) A lack of time to pursue any personal goals while raising 3 children 4) Yes buy my family is likely not 5) Being able to have significant time to myself and not worry about others constantly 6) I'd end up like I've always been. 7) I'm not spending $30 for something that's just gonna spit out a Strengthsfinder Mad-lib.

If anybody is in the situation of the female caller asking if she needs time to reset. Personal experience if you can afford it and your employer is willing take 3 months off. I did this ended up only taking about 3 weeks un paid leave due to holidays over time and a couple of weeks sick leave I was able to leverage as my GF was getting brain surgery during my time off . Totally reset my outlook gave me atleast another years energy in the position I am in. I don’t mind the work but some of the processes I kept trying to come up with solutions for and then not being implemented were causing me grief . It’s given me another year to think about things

A college degree doesn't guarantee a job/career for everyone, or a self fulfillment when it comes to feeling successful. However it all depends on what you want to do in life. But for some people (like me) a college degree would be very helpful in my situation in the company I work for. I've been at the same company for about 9yrs now, I've applied 6 times for 3 different promotions and have been turned down for not having a bachelors. They tell me I have experience but you need a bachelors degree. So in situations like mine then yes a college degree is worth it. I don't think you should go into debt , so talk to your boss or HR about tuition reimbursements.

My dream is to never work again sooner than 65 due to health issues. Just never work again. Over the whole working. Some day I only wanna work part time and forget about the hustle culture. Hustle culture got me hypothyroidism.

Really enjoying Kens videos. I am from New Zealand. My GF (of 20 years) spent a few years in USA with her drop kick husband that dropped her to marry a lesbian for cash so he could get a green card, can’t stand kens voice a hang over from her time in USA. I have to use my Bluetooth headset

You got one up on me. I do wonder, though; either his callers are fake/carefully selected, or he may have some magical ability to get answers from people. I’ve heard many callers who ‘didn’t know’ suddenly answer once he asked - it’s actually funny to me when it happens.
