12:21 let's see if i'm right my guess is turn the 5 at the bottom of the map in africa into a 6, roll into the 2, then fortify it into the 8, unless you don't like having all of your troops up in spain. potentially unless like you said you are sunk on the turkey 5, you could put the other 2 troops into that making it a 7. 12:42 okay, you instead want to keep that side open-ish alright. kind of what i suspected. 15:48 if you take the black pocket and pink pocket, external stack kill guards, you could have 2 bonuses, not sure if it's worth it..... have to parse all the things you are showing us.

This map makes NO SENSE in any manner (historical, political, and/or strategic gaming). First, all of these "provinces/continents" have their Latin names that are recognizable to people that have read even one book. Also, "Provincia I" should be split into Hispania and Gallia. The "continents" should be something like Italia, Britannia, Gallia, Hispania, Africa Major, Asia Minor, Graecia, and Pannonia. Africa Major should be worth a significant number of troops due to the early Empire's dependence on Egypt and parts of North Africa for grain. This would make a MUCH more interesting map, because Africa Major would become the "Asia" of the map (big bonus, multiple connections). Similarly, Britannia would become "Australia." (It sort of is that on the current map, to be fair.)

I don't think it's good for prog, but I love it for 4 player fixed caps (with blizzards). Mostly because it's not prone to stalemates. Sucks starting in the middle though.

I’m trying to get better at the game. So please tell me if my thinking is incorrect. Why didn’t you kill pink for 3 @ 20:08? Couldn’t you have put the 25 on the 10 stack and killed him or was it to close?

This map is incredibly ahistorical, and it demonstrates that SMG doesn't care. Neither the extent of the Late Republic, nor any phase of the Roman Empire, ever looked like this map. The Empire never held Britannia until the reign of Claudius. At that point, the map should extend further into southern and northeastern Europe, as well as Asia and Africa. If we assume that the map is supposed to represent the Late Empire just before it lost Britannia, then it should still extend further into Asia. If the map is supposed to represent the "Roman World," then it should include Germania, Parthia, etc. It's just a lame attempt. I'm not saying that the maps need to be extremely accurate to be playable or fun, but how could it possibly hurt them? A really fun and interesting map pack would include various phases of historical empires and kingdoms. For example, I would love to design a series of Risk maps that illustrate the various phases of the Roman Empire or the successive invasions of the British Isles. Risk is not the most complicated strategic/tactical game out there, but the maps are the key to making it interesting and fun to play (obviously). History is supposed to be stranger than fiction.
