About Stormsunder, I genuinely think that Robert doesn’t have the money to manufacture the game… everything now cost more than when the game get funded… we have been told that when the minis mold are 100% correct the game would start manufactue, several months with. Then it was minis are 100% but are waiting for translations to end for manufacture, now it is endless and by now pointless update about balancing without any status or timeline about any part of the game… they took part on various other projects “because we need to keep our sculptors working”… so the conclusion, as I said in the beginning Robert doesn’t have the money, the balls to really be honest and upfront about the real status of the project

Super excited for Cysmic. It's been my most anticipated game since playing it last year. Wasn't expecting it but I do love how the creator has gone about the campaign too. The SFG/PP is interesting. Cool world and PP seems like they've been slowly circling the drain sadly. Do agree though on SFG buying so much lately it feels weird. If it were not only IP but personnel I'd get some EA-like fears. Waiting for my Judgement PVC patiently...

There are several reasons why Degenesis isnt getting 1000 backers: 1. Only English version- there will not be German or France or Spanish version of the game 2. No Stretch goals to bring that feel of community, getting bigger and better rewards but Daily unlocks instead. There can be a discussion which one is better from those 2 options. 3. CMon burnout and limited resources of the playerbase- on top of the current campaign, next week they are launching Dune:WoA reprint and then Plaguebearer. And CMon had a campaign last month. And the month before. And so on...

I have not seen a lot, but I have seen some games KS creators put up numbers by Language, and ENG version numbers totally eclipses the LANG version numbers combined, I am surprised when campaign games even offer anything other than home lang and English versions of games. Making multiple lang versions of games just doesn't seem worth the effort vs returns, even much more so on campaign games. Also the crap they get in the comments from lang backers when they have to wait a year longer.

As a huge CMON fanboy Degenesis just doesn’t stand out to me compared to other CMON titles this year I have to budget my money and Dead Keep, DC United, and Dune reprint are their top campaigns this year for me and I think many others. Cause I gotta save some money for other companies too. SFG is on a roll they have bought so many people out they are clearly doing well on the business side I would assume to buy so many games this year.

I think that they are likely to do Celtic, Japanese and/or Chinese or a Mesoamerican one next. They have pretty much stated they will not be doing Hindu (since it is an active religion) and are unsure about a Native North American one (since it is not very well known)

With 1 day left, Degenesis has raised about $285,000. The only other CMON campaigns (excluding non-game ones) not to break $300,000 were Xenoshyft: Onslaught ($242,832) Guilds of Cadwallon ($116,938), The World of Smog: On Her Majesty's Service ($101,351), and Dogs of War ($66.703). CMON's jump to Gamefound has been quite lackluster thus far. I imagine DC United can't get here fast enough for them at this point.

Why so much more love for Grimcoven than Blood? Just because it’s AR vs LMS? All the negatives you said about Blood would be the same for Grimcoven; they missed the fad, seen similar AI before, etc. watching play throughs of Grimcoven actually made me less about it….minions with 1 hp is just lazy and annoying. They don’t do much. I’m probably going to wait for Blood and see if it’s any better. Just recently got Primal so boss battler itch is good for now. Also DoM is AMAZING! Suuuuuper difficult and challenging in the best ways. And the Terrors for example are what I like from “minions.” STILL A CHALLENGE. Not just some annoying “ugh I have to use a turn to get rid of this again.” That’s not exciting in a battle scenario. Keep that for status cards or something. I hope Blood looks good…

I really didn't like 7th continent, but lately i have seen multiple comments from people who loved 7th continent, but disliked citadel. And after reading about their reasons I found multiple people who thought like me, but liked citadel. So i will most likely give citadel a chance, since they seem to address the issues i had. And citadel is pretty well received.

I personally dont know Hate, but colourwise - Degenesis always had those in the books (red/black/white) and its the design team behind it. the art is mostly taken from it too. problem is i guess that no enough people know about the IP to begin with (also due different factors and mismanagement) and the books never to be printed again. I seriously dont understand why they didnt take the chance to offer the books too (and print if enough get them), it could have revived it somewhat.

Blood looks interesting, but your right, there's a lot of boss battler games out there and frankly for me to back them they have to be really special like Oathsworn or KDM/ATO. I have towns folk tussle and if I am honest the art work is the best part of the game, I mean its okay, but it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be. SFG is one of those companies I really like, I just don't like most of their games. Bardsung was probably the best one I have played. I am still waiting for Dawn of Madness, for EU/UK they withheld sending out all the DOM stuff so they could concentrate on Deep Madness fulfillment...damn it.

Maybe I misread it, but I think Degenesis is basically only a campaign mode. I don’t want to have to either replay the intro scenario over and over or play with the same group. If I can’t solo a game like that, there’s just no way I can justify buying an expensive game with those caveats.

I think Degenesis has some cool stuff going for it, but the 1-v-all campaign format is rough to get played. You need a group who will commit to the campaign and a DM who will enjoy being the DM. Tough to table.

I definitely think backerkit will keep growing, like you said RPGs are doing pretty decent on there and with innovation I’m sure it will keep growing and just needs a bit more time. I personally just very much dislike the interface and navigation on backerkit. It doesn’t feel smooth and feels like work to get the information I need so I stopped looking at it a while ago.

Hmmmm, backerkit wise I’ve backed Moonrollers and a TentacleKitty campaign and that was it. And honestly it was only because I REALLY wanted to back 😅 as a PM platform it’s great but I’m not a fan of how the site is when backing a project. The comment section is less clear on navigation and it’s just fiddly all around. Just saw that Shelfside released a Degenesis play through so I’ll have to check it out. I watched Boardgameco’s and was interested in the gameplay but the art isn’t my style and I’m hesitant to back more Cmon campaigns until I start receiving previous ones.

Mythic battles is one of my favorite skirmish systems actually :) and the expansions always add lots of variety. You can do one offs, set pieces with controlled armies, campaigns where you slowly build up armies, semi rog campaigns where you gain items and abilities, etc. etc. As I always say, variety is King. But not for everyone surely and if it doesn't get tabled then definitely don't buy, regardless of how cool it might look or sound.

There are tonnes of reasons why degenesis isn’t reaching more than 1,000 but besides wondering how my family and friends would feel about the 1 v many and theme: I am burned out on CMON and feel they’ve become too big to care. Large delays on all their campaigns and their Comms suck. I have thrown too much money at them and I feel less and less happy about it as I don’t think they care

My biggest issue with Ludus Magnus Studios is that i keep mixing them up with the horrible company Luudos studios. And therefore i keep having that bad taste in my mouth :D Know its silly but have caught myself glancing over several campaigns only later realising it wasnt the same creator On a sidenote, Blood comes out less than a month after Grimcoven. Talk about bad timing

The only other faction for Mythic Battles that comes to my mind would be Chinese/ Japanese. I would also be fine with a 1.5, where just some new stuff is added to the existing ones, and the option to get the addons i couldn't afford yet.

Here's a topic you should cover: How about looking into the fact that Monolith released an unfinished game when they took over Orcquest Warpath. Everyone who plays the game says that they feel OP after the 3rd level. There's currently no guidelines on how to play the campaign (I.E. what to keep between missions, how to increase difficulty, etc...) or how to incorporate the numerous expansions into the campaign, when to play which expansion, or how they all work together to create a balanced campaign game. Monolith has been promising to release a FAQ on this for many months. The last update they did about this was during their Conan campaign, in which they said that that it would be ready by March. Here we are in June and no update on the topic since March. In it's current state, Orcquest Warpath is unplayable after a few missions. This is even reflected in it's resale value at $100, which is around half the $200 price (and that's without shipping).

Yes, Monolith bought Mythic Battles from Mythic Games way back.

To complicate matters more, monolith was struggling with their first conan campaign at the time, but had mostly developed mythic battles. So they spun off mythic games with Leo and team mostly being from monolith originally to run the mythic games campaign. After Conan delivered monolith looped back around to help with mythic battles and then afterward formally bought it back. If I recall right, the first.camoaign boxes showed both company logos even
