I got your book and a t-shirt a few years ago. Thanks again for the inspection. As of my aquarium everything is DIY about it. The stand, the filter the light's. I got poting soil and cheap sand from Rona, lava rock from outside decoration and branches from the river side. All boiled. My fish tank has been running for a few years. Thanks again. Love to see you are back more often and doing better.

You have Festivum! I love this cichlid. Why they aren't extremely popular i will never know. In 70 years keeping fish, I've only seen them twice, and of course bought them. They are attractive, friendly, and peaceful. Their colors are not bright, but their patterns are interesting, and change with their moods. They are found with angel fish, usually leading the way along the river.

Hey bro, I've made a similar filter in my 20 longs before. Take a half inch or 3/4 piece of pvc tube about 12 to 16 inches long and dull holes in it and attach it to the outlet on the Power head and make a spray bar. Very simple and it doesn't cause such a strong return current. I also plasti dipped my filter and spray bars. Give it a try, maybe it'll fit your needs. Anyways, another exciting and informative video, love seeing the old passion back in you man. Excited to see this new gallery, it's looking amazing. Love the channel.

It is a little less common to find the two spout filter (in and out) and also to find one with suction cups on it, it might also be possible to put one that only has the pipe outlet into the bottle and put the outlet our through the bottle top. It would need to be a small filter to fit the bottle. This way if would all be contained in the bottle. Just a thought.

a great filter design i know of is made from a terracotta pot that has a pvc tube in it and around at the bottom of the pot it has gravel where the pvc tube would have drilled holes, and at the top half of the pot there would be aquarium soil , then if you put plants in that soil and put an air tube connected to an airstone you have a filter that is alive because the plants would use the nitrates that would be filtered through the sucked up water.
