They look much better in that fantastic setup - great job. MD Fishtanks just did a 2500 Gal, the first fish are 450 tetra and their schooling behaviour is incredible. Excited for what happens in the 16 foot next.

Absolutely gorgeous!! The Altums look fantastic in this setup. For the surface you could go with Giant Silver Hatchetfish (Thoracocharax securis), for the middle zone Diamond tetra (Moenkhausia pittieri) and for the bottom Brochis Splendens (aka Corydoras splendens)

Joey, you were talking about adding more tetras. Neon tetras are South American, and a few hundred would look awesome in there. Yes I know some of them would get eaten, but that happens in the wild sometimes too. Looking awesome man. Keep doing what you do. Love seeing your videos.

i was psyched for the giant piranha tank, but that looks really really good. every one looks pretty happy in it. your going to have to spoil the dream fish for an honest opinion a bunch of little guys mixed in would be wicked. what made that old rainbow tank awesome was you had all the movement, and you had all of the different characters. i still remember you dumping all of the clowns out of that stick lol

This is without a doubt the best version of the 2000 for me! I know people might have different opinions but for me personally, this is something I would consider a dream tank. Get more species like Satanopercas, Wild discuss, few fancy plecos, festivums. Would be the perfect South American community

This is my absolute favorite rendition of the 2,000. I keep Geophagus Sevni with electric blue acara, bristlenose plecos, and rope fish in a 125. If I had the 2,000 I would do exactly what you are doing now. I would love to see a bunch of Congo tetras or rainbows in there. Cardinal tetras would look great but I don’t know how long they would last.

That aquarium looks so great natural,with all the stump like tree roots etc.and oh course the moss make it look like it’s been there for years .if I was younger and couldn’t do steps a lot we would put a huge tank in our basement . years ago, someone had a two or 3000 gallon rip Chism tank. I believe it was plexiglass maybe on the inside, but most of it was metal. He offered it to us, but we had no way to get something that large down basement would’ve been impossible.

Best rendition of the 2000g yet but small schooling tetras won't work with the current stock let alone what you plan to add. Go with the bigger fish you dream of but you have to get a nice variety of discus. Can't wait to see when you're done.

a large school of giant danios, they’re top water fish in the minnow family but they can grow to 5 inches. they are always active & will utilize all the space in the aquarium.

Great tank Joey as always! This is honestly the direction I always thought you'd go in for the 2000 gallon. I'm hoping to replicate something similar on a much smaller scale in my 75 (eventually 200+ gallon 😅). I say go ahead and get your dream fish to add into the 2000 gallon. Hey Joey! Love the stock you've chosen for the 2K. I know that firemouth cichlids are from Central America and goes against the South American theme. However, that being said, they live closer to the fish in the 2K than Pearl Gourami, which I love too, don't get me wrong. It's just that firemouths are relatively well mannered for central American cichlids, and I thought it would be interesting to watch their behavior in this kind of setting. It is your aquarium and your choice, just a suggestion. 😅

I say get the fish you haven't kept before. Discus would also look amazing in the 2000 for more and different color. I selfishly would love for you to get a lungfish, I find them fascinating to watch because they aren't your typical fish.

Definitely get a bunch of Acara's. Having more fish filling in the top of the water column would really put so much more movement and colour in the tank. Also, tetra's, a nice small touch, but will mostly end up as food I think. And as said already, they've been done to death.

The 16ft tank would be awesome as a tropical community setup? Heaps of Cory Cats, a large group of ruby nose tetras swimming back and forth along the long length would look so good. Some wood, Amazon swords etc. Not overly clustered because you want to see the Corys. Or a planted rainbow fish tank? Something like that would be would be great 👍

You can also add the albino heckelii into the 2k gallon. They will be a great addition to the tank. Or maybe some giant-sized clown loaches. But in the end the choices are all yours.

I think a Gold Saum would go great, maybe some Green Tiger Barbs, a Jack Dempsey and some Petricolas or even a Red Tail Shark. I don't know if they would all work out but would be great if they could.

its likely the severums will pick at those plants and since they grow slow they just wont make it. thats what happened with mine
