As you can see, this is a can of silly string in its natural habitat. And right at this moment, it is being attacked by its natural enemy, the drill. It may seem helpless, but it has a trick up it’s sleeve. It uses one of its defense mechanisms and squirts the drill with its sticky and toxic juices, that coagulates and hardens as it is exposed to air. For the 8:1 device you could try melting the tube and then attaching it to the individual caps so that it bonded to them and that could make a better seal

if you dried it it wouls be hard and crack into pieces because it's not actually string in the can it's a liquid and when sprayed it solidifies into a string so it wouldn't work
