I love the dinner ideas which I have just watched but to be frank with you - part of the fun is all that family backgroud which you usually share with us. Here is mama and there play the kids. Here is papa and there is smiling occupied Bella ( Bella - indeed - check Italian origin of the name) and over there the test of lovely team. That is a delightful 7 dinners video. ❤ Thank you so much !

This time of year is great for BLTs. Crunchy summer lettuce, ripe garden tomatoes, bacon and mayo on toasted sourdough bread - yum!

When I have a lot of zucchini, I like to make zucchini pizzas! The slice of zucchini is the 'pizza crust', add pizza sauce, cheese, add whatever toppings you want!

I cook for just myself. A few days ago I baked a frozen Chicken Breast, a bag of frozen Broccol I, and half a Red Onion. When it was cooked I cubed the Chicken. I ate 3 portions of that mixture during the next day and a half. Then, with the leftover amount I added a drained can of Chicken, and a drained can of Mixed Veggies plus water and more seasoning for a quick soup which made 4 more portions.

Hi! 😊 We've been eating lots of salads and veggies from our garden and doing BBQ on the grill. It's been too hot to cook much inside.

We’ve been doing a lot of homemade pizzas. We do them on sourdough flat bread. We also have been doing a lot of BLT sandwiches.

I’ve used the Low Carb Mission flat tortilla - doubled with cheese in the middle as bases. I do them on the flat sandwich maker. My grandson loves them with all different meats piled on them and mozzarella.

Great meals, Julie! Our meals are very similar. Good nourishing food that will fill lots of bellies without breaking the bank. We've only got 4 left at home, 12-20 years old. We don't cook as much at a time as we used to. I love seeing a crowded table. God bless you all! ❤

Living in the hot tropics of northern Australia, we go for egg frittatas with green salad, easy nachos, burgers on the barbecue (BBQ) or as you say Blackstone, with loads of salad. We avoid cooking a lot inside the house as it heats it up too much. Our BBQ is used ALOT! 😀

Since I had my granddaughter's for the summer, I too needed fast meals. Our meals were almost the same. Samon Patties, Tacos, Steak, Grilled cheese and Quesadillas and a huge Chicken Caesar salad. Tomato's, broccoli, cucumbers, kale, roman lettuce and zucchini all from my garden. You have truly inspired me and I tried making my own sourdough, unfortunately I failed lol. I will keep trying.

Keep trying! It’s been a long learning process for me, but I’m glad I stuck with it.

Quick casseroles (one that uses chicken, broccoli, cheese, bread and a sauce that we use Indian spices in that is a family fav), stuffed potatoes (quick boiled and then baked potatoes with all the toppings we can find/use up from our fridge), fresh fruits for sides EVERY DAY, (especially melons during the summer!), breakfast for dinner occasionally, lots of yogurt, zucchini noodle ‘pasta’ and fresh made sauces, lots of fresh cheeses, salads with almost every meal, and as far as breads, we do less sourdough and more artisan grain breads. We also snack on lots of nuts and dried fruits and grill fruits and meats on our Blackstone a few days per week, too.

Yummy :) I recently discovered a recipe for calabacitas which helped me use some of my abundant squash harvest.. there are a few ways people make it.. I went all out and used squash, tomatoes and tomato paste, corn, peppers, onions and cheese (and a little milk..) very good and easy to make a lot.

Looks and sounds good to eat! I like making a big pot of pinto beans and putting cut up smoked sausage or kilboska sausage and then in my bowl I put a little mayo in it! Looks kinda yucky but it tastes good 😊

Not sure but it looked like your okra wasn’t breaded. Have you tried dipping the slices in egg whites and coating them with Mexican style cornbread mix? Fry in bacon grease. Yum-0
@jasonandjulie
@jasonandjulie Жыл бұрын
I have breaded it in the past, but the family likes it just as much when it’s sliced and stir fried. Since it’s faster and easier I usually do it that way 😄

@@jasonandjulie Try okra fries: slice them into sticks, toss with salt, pepper, and coriander; roast @ 400 for 12mins. So good! I always eat half a pan to myself
