Wrestlefest is my all time wrestling game ever. Used to play as Warrior and Hogan in the tag battles.

I always chose either Ted DiBiase and Jake Roberts or Ted and Mr. Perfect. Would always be The Million Dollar Man for the Royal Rumble.

I can't believe the Asterix Beat-em-up never got a home release. Ninja Baseball Bat Man is the main game I use MAME for :)

There's a modern remaster/remake on all the main consoles. It's pretty solid! But yeah, shocking the arcade never got anything. I thought Aserix did really well on Master System. I wonder if Sega held the home rights from that still, making it a non-start if they wanted a cross platform port. :/

An interesting list; I liked the way they look probably better than a home version if they ever were released. Never played arcade games as I have poor hand eye coordination and felt self conscious; plus my OCD and ASD.

I recall a skating game that I don't think ever saw a home conversion. You skated into the screen and had to jump or duck obstacles. I THINK you may have needed to barge opponents too. There was also Firefox and another laserdisc shooter that never saw conversions either.

Great and rather eclectic collection of Arcade games but were you aware that Alien Vs Predator can be played on the Capcom Home Arcade? Really enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing :-)
@TheLairdsLair2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have that, it's the arcade version emulated, so it's great.

Lucky & Wild was a Namco System 2 game. The System 2 probably had the most powerful 16-bit graphics engine ever created- even putting the Neo-Geo to shame. Driving games had an extended graphics board which added an extra tilemap generator just for road graphics.
@Riz2336 Жыл бұрын
Such a shame Alien Vs. Predator didn't get a release on the Sega Saturn, I think it could have gotten a great port seeing as Capcom games looked amazing on the system
@TheLairdsLair Жыл бұрын
Agreed 100%, it would have been a perfect fit and the Saturn could have done with more beat 'em ups.

Great 1000mls Rally was after World Rally Championship .. essentially the same game. WRC never got a port also IIRC but one of the original developers released a decrypted ROM for Mame.... which was nice.. I'd say Neo Drift out was probably more likely inspired by WRC. Either way all 3 games are really good and very playable even today.
@TheLairdsLair Жыл бұрын
Oh yes, is that the one by Gaelco? I forgot all about that!
@RocketMagnetUK Жыл бұрын
@@TheLairdsLair Yeah that's the one, I think there was some kerfuffle around licencing of teams/cars/drivers which I guess killed the chance of home ports at the time. Then the world turned all 3D in the 90s so those style of games died out
@TheLairdsLair Жыл бұрын
I think that is on the Gaelco cartridge for the Evercade, which I have but still haven't got round to playing for some reason. I only realised the other day I had the 2 carts I got for my birthday still sitting in a draw sealed.

@TheLairdsLair2 жыл бұрын
Sunset Riders and Crude Busters both appeared on home systems, so are not arcade exclusives. It has nothing to do with the UK market. "Welcome STUN Runner" taken from the Atari Lynx port of the Atari arcade game.
