Awesome brother I’ve been on the fence about it for a while I just purchased a new white truck to use as my company truck so now it’s time to start getting squeegees and scrubbers along with the business cards and other odds and ends. How long would you imagine it would take to make at least 500 bucks a week?I know there are a lot of variables

There are several things to consider before you setup a cleaning company Will you get support from you spouse? Are you self-motivated? Will you carry out your plan? Do you have the funds to start? (I read these and why they work from Ayalisse clean biz site )

You are correct. I started 30 years ago as a window cleaning company. I dreamed of living in a home like my customers. Today I pay my window washer $250 each time he's here. I sold my biz with 4000 customers many years ago, but it taught me how to grow a business. I'm now on my 6th successful business. I think the key is understanding that you have more people wanting their windows cleaned than washers and your job is not getting new customers but getting great help. This mindset will bring you new customers for life.

Keeping it simple and just doing it!! Love this video! Mark Cuban loves door-to-door hustlers! Be that! I also recommend motels and apartment properties! I started with $200 worth equipment. My 2nd client was a motel franchise owner. How did I meet him? I went to his door, offered to clean his windows, and he said, “Ok, I’ll give you a shot!” My first thought wasn’t about money! It was, “How can I retain this customer?” Easy! Quality!!! Now I also shampoo carpets for him! Quality service is a huge key! A great positive Attitude is the main ingredient! Just do it and learn from mistakes you make and others have made! You won’t grow until you know!

@robsimmons67426 жыл бұрын
If I were you, I'd probably got the window cleaning route; it's faster, there's more repeat business, and it's NOT PAINTING. Painting is (urgh) awful.
I would charge way more than $200 just to do that entry way, I would probably do it for $325 for first time cleaning, then regular window washing once a month for like $175

401K's are nice but they are golden handcuffs, too. think of it -- would you rather start your own business (and set up an automatic deposit of a portion of your income to go into a Fidelity or Vanguard or other mutual fund, etc), set your own hours, answer to NO ONE but yourself, build your business over time by adding on a subcontractor or two (or 3, or 10), and earn far, far more than a crap $13/hr or... The way I see it, there's no other alternative. Time to get busy!

Do you ask your customers to fill up your water buckets while you are in the store or do you bring the water with you? I'm thinking I could start a business like this and pull a trailer on my bike with supplies going up and down the streets with many store fronts.

I wish I could do 2 things. 1. Get the prices you throw out in the video. I just did a large car dealership today for 350 bucks. 250 windows 12 hours of work. I see everyone saying online that would be a 1200 to 1500 job. I barely got 350. I was told "that's a lot for cleaning windows" 2. Actually land lowes. my local stores windows are nasty. the manager refuses to let anyone but employees "clean" them. Aggravating! !!
