I am a Spanish native speaker and I think that the best translation for "¡Ya voy!" would be "I'm coming!". "I'm leaving" would be best translated as "Ya me voy" (the "me" here is really important as it changes the meaning of the verb). Great lesson, by the way!

@@cezzajess7238 ¡Hola! We never use "Vengo" when we say "I'm coming". We would always use "Ya voy" or just "Voy". Using "Vengo" would make you sound like a non-native speaker. I hope this can clarify your doubt 😊

@TheLanguageTutor 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucas. That's a good question. I love the folks at AIB, but they own those videos and control what is posted. You typically have access to some and pay for the rest. On my channel, I wanted to offer all free lessons, plus a podcast to practice and also downloadable written practices on the website. Also, we're bringing in other languages here on this channel in the near future. I appreciate your kind words amigo!

I know just the book for you! It’s called, “2001 Spanish and English Idioms 2nd Edition”. There may be newer editions by now, since I’ve had this book since the early 2000s. It’s by Eugene Savaiano and Lynn W. Winget. It’s completely bilingual and illustrated with sample sentences. Yes, there is an edition out in 2008.

Please let me know when I change the stem of Querer, do I change both "ue" or just the "e".
@TheLanguageTutor
@TheLanguageTutor 4 жыл бұрын
Very good question. Consider the Q and U married. The Q cannot function without the U, so they have to stay together. With that being said, since "querer" is an ie stem-changing verb, you already have the e, so you just add the i before it. And you stem change for all present tense forms except the nosotros and vosotros forms.

Eric Baugher absolutely. In this case "ya que" is used to explain or extend the meaning of a previous statement. The same you would use "porque" =because. You'd probably hear this on the news, or more formal speeches as it sounds better.
