Good Monday morning from down under, your hawthorne flowers took me back to my childhood, I grew up in a little area, not even a village but it was called Hawthorndene where the local creek was boarded with hawthorne trees and we had a very pretty one in our back yard, I think it was planted in such a way to shield our out house that was at the bottom of our garden, it had a very preety double pink and white flowers. Blessings to all on the LGS help yourselves to the scons with blackberry jam and clotted cream.

I too have the people experiencing warfare in mind as I watch this very calming loving video. Where I am at the moment we are experiencing thunderstorms. It was very easy to empathise with those experiencing warfare as the approaching thunderstorm sounded and felt like the Sounds of artillery. Still as I lay in my bed watching this video and reading the comments I can't help but feel very very grateful for the feelings of safety nd calm I am currently experiencing. ❤

Your garden is so idyllic. I love it. Grandchildren are so precious aren't they? Your talk of you and Agnes making fairy gardens brought back a precious memory of my now sixteen year old grandson back when he was eight. He was over my place playing with the granddaughter of our neighbour. She was all excited because Anton had just made her a fairy garden. He used old horseshoes that were lying around (no we don't have horses. I live in the city of Brisbane. Not allowed to have horses in your back yard here). He gathered rocks, plants etc. and made such a nice job of it. The little girl then brought over some small dolls and started playing in the fairy garden. That is when Anton made his exit and started playing with his bulldozer! He's such a sweet boy, well, young man now. I'm glad you brought back that memory. Oh, and I love the mitred memory blanket. Pity my knitting isn't up to scratch. Crochet is more my thing. Thanks for this lovely video.

Hi Kate I joined The Lime Green Sofa a few weeks ago and am thoroughly enjoying binge watching your videos. Kate, I think you and I are Kindred Souls, so much of what you say and do I associate with. I don’t have creative bones like you do, I try and would love to study one or two creative things and become good at them but….I like to pick bits and bats and so cannot single out anything specific to concentrate on. I do have a quilt on the go, it’s very basic a hey quilt and it’s now 46 years old! Maybe one day I will finish it. Kate I want to thank you for being you, you have brought me so much joy, I could never thank you enough. I am just about to start another phase of my life by moving to a beautiful part of our Country, Hutton-le-Hole. I had to wait such a long time to find my wonderful husband, to have saved enough money etc etc so I would not settle for anywhere ordinary. Although I love my home where I live at the moment, I have no Community despite trying to ‘fit’ into one for the last 30 years. I live in an old vicarage now, it’s 220 years old and it has been so supportive to me whilst I have been here, it’s time now though to move on and ‘fit’ in for perhaps the first time in my 64 years. You have helped me Kate, just listening and watching you has helped me quietly to let go here and look to my future. Thank you so much. 💚

I’ve been watching you for a couple of months…. I’m 65 and live out in a very small Texas town.. When I was 5 years old my grandmother taught me to crochet a granny square, to help her finish a afghan.. So for the last 60 years I have learned to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt and sew clothes.. I also craft many other things, including painting old furniture.. my 103 year old home is filled with whimsical, magical, playfully things I have made and collected.. When we bought our 125 yr old house 37 yrs ago it had lily of the valley growing in our small front yard which we loved. Now all these years later they have covered our side hill. All in bloom now. Love the smell 😊

What fun it is to see you cutting flowers for your home Kate. My dad loved his garden and he was furious when my mom cuts flowers for the house. As kids we could smell and not touch. I seldom put flowers in my house. Flowers do get put into a small vase when my girls come home for a holiday. We also have a metal bath. Love the chair idea.
