Fantastic. When dining with the gods, I should drink my mead with carefulness.

The stories of old about gods, giants, dwarves, elves, etc., are allegories of life. Regarding the accusations in Lokasenna (of cowardice, se*ual debauchery and hedonism) towards the gods (and their ungodly weak retorts), parallel with modern day moral decay in the West remarkably; and its follow up of Ragnarök is just eerie.

The funny thing is that Loki only was saying the truth and hurting the ego of gods. Had there been a higher authority, earthquakes wouldn't exist

Not a huge fan of Loki, but he was basically punished for practicing his freedom of speech.

Wasn’t he being punished for slaying Baldr?

What an incredibly stupid take. Do you really think the Norse people thought their gods were a bunch of hypocrites? So Loki wasn't attacked because he was a troublemaker, it's because the gods were the bad guys? You do realize that the poem starts with Loki murdering somebody, don't you think the author was making a subtle hint? I could add more but never mind.

@@TheLegendaryLore Well what does that tell you? Freedom of speech has its limitations, and it's not human nature to tolerate insulting behavior indefinitely. Just because you have the right to say something, doesn't mean you should. Loki was lying and insulting the gods, not debating.
