Ah the power of scripted sequences. When I first started getting into mapping I did a similar thing with the HL1 scientists.

in 1:24 they not the same person. but look very similar except the guy closest too you has a small bald spot, while the other guy on the right his beard actualy meets his hair. cool video btw. can we have a map name for this on steam workshop?

hey! need advise on 2 things for Hammer. one. how do i make scripts that make sequence AFTER all actors are in place? or make a button by button trigger. for sequances... because i want a breach, and the metro-police to then storm INTO the building. second... making hold button to activate doors

1.- i make the sequences for each NPC individually, so they have to follow their designed Script according to what i want it to do. to make NPC's be able to follow scripts, i recomend you to watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKHTloRtgJyDZtU 2.- for the buttons, you make a brush and make it an entity named func_button, after that, you can set the parameters of the entity on its interface. in this case, if you want it to open a door. you have to name the door something, like for example "x", and then go back to the button and make an OUTPUT, when you do the output, you have to pick: on use - "x" - open - 0 delay. Hope it helps

what's it gonna be? you have any plans for this thing? I use hammer a lot and i am trying to get good at making events like this but i'm mainly using TF2 so it is hard to do stuffs.

Hey how do you give npc's a destination to walk to?

With a scripted sequence, just make a trigger and give the scripted sequence a name, and give no animations to it if you just want them to walk somewhere if you start a trigger, add an output to the trigger, do Iftriggerd or something like that, then the sequence name and then just choose Beginsequence and it should be done, now if you or an NPC walks into the trigger the NPC you want to go to somewhere will go to that somewhere

Use physics, but make sure it doesn't move by ticking some flags.
