I like the fact that at the beginning of the Chimarian War, infected human Chimaran hybrids were able to figure out how to make energy rifles and genetically engineer more of themselves to Curbstomp Russia.

I think it's implied in the lore that the Chimera are simply reverse engineering grey tech to get their equipment.

I never thought about it but it's very scary the Chimera basically wiped out the 2 greatest population super powers in Russia and China if the whole East got taken out.

I think the first Chimera didn’t create advance weapons right away. It would be wise for them to use human weapons and infrastructure. Something we see in the first game. Where they used factories for their own purposes. I think they probably dug up towers in Russia. Which would allow them to get access to their advance tech. Before them. Their virus was their main weapon. 1908-30s Russia was not advanced enough to create this what they needed . To quote a scene in Star trek enterprise. A time agent of the time war told a German officer. In his era they have batteries that can power a building. And they are unable to create the tech they want as they have to create the infrastructure and technology to make it first. So I say the first chimera invasion. May had a cache of things they needed. To start a invasion. As it was always planned for them to return to earth. Even considering the virus was designed to work with the human immune system and allow conversion. We were a crop for them.

My favorite game series during the PlayStation 3 era! Sad it never make it over to the PS4 and now the PS5. However I glad it never got another game past its third title. Considering what happened to halo and gears of war after their third games.

One of my personal favorites sci-fi FPS game. Heck, I actually liked the Vita game. Still sadden that they never made new games. They could be set in different parts of the world, following a new character from whatever country they're from. And seeing how they Chimera adapt to fight them.

Burning Skies on Vita was quite an okay game, it’s just that compared to the other entries, it was quite simplified. Even Retribution, on the much weaker PSP was quite a solid/quality entry for the Franchise. Honestly, I’m good with all these games, which is one of the reasons why I still have those consoles. They still look good as well.

@@KingAbzTV the chimera would beat the gears of war 1 horde but the horde at its peak in gears of war 2 with the riftworm would make a challenge for the chimera it would come down to if the chimera are able to destroy the riftworm and reacht locust hollow wich they are capable of.

I always liked the idea where in a different universe there are many different alien species and it plays out sorta like earth politics and that humans are considered a new discovery and third world planet not yet able to travel the galaxy so you have some alien species who want to conquer the planet and others who want to defend it and coexist with humans kinda like mass effect did but without the doomsday robots that hate all organic life

Since Sony has all these awesome IPs instead of crying about potentially losing CoD and how “they can’t compete” they should instead actually use said franchises as an incentive to buy their consoles (in addition to putting them on their own pc storefront and making their GamePass clone actually good). Give us a few remastered collections of Resistance, Killzone, and a few other things that stay mostly faithful to the originals, while using what they’ve learned over the years if development to improve the experience and have soft retcons here and there to make the series more consistent with each other and have the narrative flow better. The Dead Space remake would be a good example of this. Some of the improvements would include, fixing certain areas where the level design was bad, using different enemies from throughout the series to improve the lack of enemy variety in the older titles, use the best version of the gunplay/weapons, improve or outright scrap different mechanics that didn’t work, and other quality of life improvements. Sadly, they’d much rather try to get government to maintain their market dominance instead of giving their customers what they want😂

I can't help but question the logistics of Resistance's alternative timeline like did Russia toke part to in the second world war? if they did to what extent cause I doubt up to a point of the seige of Berlin and how the Americans devolped the M14 rifle and made the American standard issue a full seven years before so in our timeline

I haven't played this game in forever but it was one of the firsts I was *Wowed 😯* by with the graphics and gameplay when PS3 came out. Never finished the campaign because I was addicted to the multiplayer. Same with Resistance 2 I straight played co-op all the time. Can you do a video on why the protagonist doesn't become a full Chimera ❓ Also, you've done Gears of War, and Unreal Tournament which are definitely related; Have you done any Quake videos ❓I think Unreal was inspired by Quake.
