It's obvious insomniac games didn't care much about the series after 2. The game had a lot lore you could find in hidden files.. Insomniac could of used the lore in 3, but through it all out the window for generic hero story and lame MP. It's like they were trying to wrap the story to move on.

The books actually go into detail about the Spinners and the conversion process in general. The books have some incredibly creepy and sad moments.

I always liked the Resistance series, loved the Chimera and the retro sci-fi theme of the game

Just a few things i'd like to add: 1. Alot of Resistance 2's creatures were designed during Fall of Mans development. (Props to Rodrigo Ribeiro for the amazing concept art) 2. The Marauder could be considered the Chimeras equivalent to the Locust Brumaks. 3. Good video!

The spinners are released in swarms. Not has many but still enough to overwhelm. Once they bite a human, the victim is paralyzed and the spinners cocoon them. The Chimera do have a way of processing the cocooned humans but very different from the first game. We learn a bit of this in the book 'A Hole in the Sky'.

@@PRdreg And one member of the Helghast ended the war after killing the VSA leader after he killed the Helghast. And avenged her boyfriend. It didn't have to end this way, but there was just no choice. Because the Killzone war drove everybody insane. And that's why I love the Helghast. It made me realized ISA most likely started the war and that's why I don't like them that much as Helghast. Although both had their ups and downs, I can't say all ISA should be that disrespected. But Helghast are more misunderstood. So I have my reasons for like them more. :)

@@HRPNX-vl4uu the Isa didn't start the war. Even if the precursor to the Helghast were mistreated in the aftermather of the first extrasolar war with earth, the Helghast still started that war.

Considering Sony’s abysmal track record with films I think 95% is a low estimate. Although, I definitely agree it would’ve been interesting to see. Just like the cancelled Netflix Legend of Zelda show would’ve been interesting to see regardless of quality.

I wonder how the chimera make more soldiers using grims since they are not at any sort of chimeran structure.

Grims are not used for soldiers and are at a very low level in the chimeran hive mind until the events of RE3. The chimera also have a way of creating different strains via the spinners, most likely in more controlled areas so they can make sure they get the preferred ones and not grims.

So the chimera stopped converting humans into hybrids and started making the grim instead with the spinners. Conversion centers became obsolete and they probably had enough soldier variants. Maybe they were running low on material resources for armor, weapons, vehicles, cooling apparatus and other equipment, so they made the spinners to still wipe out humans efficiently and low resource
