killer killer killer !!!!. What a beast what a bike. Merida is so on point with the lighter 600 battery which is a plenty shuttle shred bike and the extra range extender . Ebikes should be two bikes , explorer and shuttle shred ! ..... Stunning bike Merida !

I did a test with this bike at the Paganella bike park in Italy after trying the Canyon Stryve on the CF with the Bosch Race engine. the new Shimano EP801 engine has nothing to envy of the Bosch in terms of power and in fact I found it more rounded and "natural". Optimal. im descent has a truly excellent agility and playfulness. plus the bike is playful and a lot of fun to the point that I bought it! shame about the high cost but believe me it is extraordinarily wonderful and beautiful.

Hi, it uses a non-trunnion/standard 230x65mm stroke shock, just like we fit to the conventional ONE-SIXTY models. The bike is coil compatible too. Hope that helps!

How much does the 360w extender weigh?
@kevinhallett115610 ай бұрын
I feel Metida, should of gone with a 750 batt. They sound like they are already justifying the smaller battery.
@TheLoamWolf10 ай бұрын
Their alloy version has a 750. They’ve opted to go for the smaller battery on the carbon with the range extender in mind for longer days, and slightly better agility when you don’t need it.
@MERIDABIKES-INT10 ай бұрын
We offer the 360 Wh range extender for the CF bike, but if you want a bigger range, we'd suggest the alloy framed eONE-SIXTY bikes, which come with 750 Wh removable batteries plus the option of the range extender.

I would never buy a Merida again. Their dealer lied to me and left me without warranty on a bike I bought. I contacted Merida UK directly and their service was just as awful. I know have a Trek and their service is first rate. Unhappy customers need listening to Merida.

Hi, the two bikes are very, very different. For what it's worth, we are one of the few manufacturers that own their own production facilities, so we actually design and build our products in-house, rather than outsourcing production.

I don't think the "size down" advice in 2024 is useful. I am 170 cm tall and ride a 460 reach /1255 wheelbase ebike. Previously I owned for 3 years 1 size smaller of the same bike. Lower longer slacker is the way to go, except if you live in an area where all trails have very tight turns all over the place. Your preference is different and for your height you would normally ride an XL. All bikes I see you review look ridiculously tiny for your height. Nowadays is a bad advice for anyone to buy small bikes like 7 10 years ago... Let the people embrace progress 😂
@TheLoamWolf10 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing. I ride smaller bikes for my height because of my proportions. But still, I stand by that a slightly shorter reach is wise on an eBike to allow for better weight transfer. Not saying to size down as a rule across all bikes.
@uskypg10 ай бұрын
@@TheLoamWolf your riding is fantastic, for sure among the very best from all mtb media /KZbin, so you know better what works for you. Chainstay length is also very important regarding the body position and how the weight is distributed. I have also longer legs than torso but strangely find better the longer reach bikes, otherwise I get the impression that I am all over the front. I ride a Mondraker Crafty XR build ebike so maybe their longer chainstay and longer front end/reach puts you automatically on a more over the front position.
@jltrack10 ай бұрын
I’m 6’2 like Robert, same proportions, long legs, average torso, been riding for over 17 years. I prefer a 480-490mm reach as well, especially with e-bikes. Which is on a size large these days. Modern mtbs are plenty long and plenty slack to be stable for me. I’ve ridden bikes up to a 540mm reach and they aren’t enjoyable nor fun for most of my riding conditions
@zed512910 ай бұрын
@@uskypg I still prefer a shorter reach than the "progress" would suggest to me. I've had various ebikes from 455-490 reach and I think 460-470 is best for me (181cm). We do have pretty tight twisty trails locally though, and for enduro racing specifically I'd go longer.
