Interested in what Idaho mountain biking looks like at Schweitzer Mountain? Check out the second video from the season two of our Bike Park Review tour as we stop at Schweitzer Bike Park.
Our visit to Schweitzer Bike Park was a fun and worthwhile stop of the tour. Although we had an absolute blast and tons of fun riding the trails here, the smaller trail menu and lack of variety don’t quite make it a must visit destination just yet, at least not as a standalone trip. In our opinion, Schweitzer is a great compliment to a road trip if you’re visiting other bike parks or passing through Idaho on the way to another destination. This park is absolutely worth a couple day’s worth of riding and we’d happily come back again. You won’t find big jump lines, manicured berms or flow trails here, but if you want to test your metal against some rocky, loose and high speed terrain, this park will make you smile without a doubt. The addition of some very fun local singletrack only add to the reason to visit and the quaint village and town of Sandpoint make this spot worth a stop if you’re in the area.
We’re very excited to see this park grow in the future as they’ve got some great potential, steep and fun terrain and a beautiful setting. Thanks to Dig, Jeff and the Schweitzer team for making our visit a ton of fun.
We'd like to thank the awesome brands who supported us and helped make this trip possible:

Schweitzer is my home mountain plus I worked lifts there. They have really expanded their trails in the last 2 seasons and more to come. It is even better to ride now with more variety and skill levels. Take a trip back, it will be even more worth it. Schweitzer can finally be called a bike park plus the new coming stuff off their property will be sick.

I went there last year it was so sick. Like it just as much as Whitefish and Trestle. Lots of steep doubleblacks

Just found this video a year after you published it. THIS is my town and we LOVE seeing videos like this to showcase the beauty we get to live and play in. Gearing up now to get up to Schweitzer with the bike in the coming weeks. Still a tad bit of snow that we can see from town up there. You guys need to come back in the winter and do some Schweitzer shredding. You won't be disappointed with what the mountain has to offer in the winter. Thank you again for this wonderful glimpse into my little home town of Sandpoint :)

Beautifully shot and edited video. Way to showcase our little pocket of fun here. I hope you had a chance to grab some bevvies at Pucci's in the village. Can't wait to see the next video of Silver Mt! Maybe I'll get lucky and see y'all on the mountain there.

I've owned a place on the mtn for 22 years. Its never been my go to for riding, but Terraflow has just built a killer trail. So has Collab Trail building. Its good for cross-country and getting better downhill after this summer. Sooooo, you are correct on your assessment of the riding. You'll have to give it another try. Silver kicks ass....but not a good snowboarding or skiing trail. You need to go ride Beacon/Sekani in Spokane. Great riding and a lot of diverse features..its a great park.

If you move to Idaho, we appreciate it when you leave where you came from there. We like our state wild and conservative. Too many people want to bring big city into our small towns. That is what creates the bad feelings toward outsiders. Please come here because you love what is already here and want a part of it

Might be checking out this bike park this summer. I usually ride my dh bike at Targhee, JHMR, the pass, and park city. I also have a 160mm travel enduro. Which bike woukd be more ideal for Schweitzer?

Fuck, if I didn't already have to many bike parks to choose from... (What a problem to have) 😂. Similar riding to what we have up North, maybe when the border opens up again. That steep rock jank is to fun to ride you need to come up and ride the East Kootenays.
