I have IBS with constipation and eating gluten free has helped me tremendously from having nightly pains. Careful with too much fruit, fruit has a lot of sugar which can still trigger IBS pains.

Fodmap diet is great for ibs! It can be restricting. I can now only tolerate in vegetables, green beans, carrots, a small amount of broccoli and red onion not white. It's also eliminating gluten and dairy to an extent which definitely helps. I do sympathise as have suffered with it since i was 6 and now 43! Do you meditate too as that can help?

My daughter and myself both suffer from ibs. So know ur pain nick. My daughter can't eat white bread but is ok with some brown bread and my trigger food is leeks and onions. When we do have a attack of it though we take buscopan tablet and within 30 mins it settles the stomach.x

Just spray the deck with an anti fungicide product ... it takes a few weeks but it can transform decking etc and gets rid of gunge and greening. I use Spray and Leave. I'd definitely want to treat it before putting down the tiles.

Hope nick starts feeling better soon, I have lost 66lbs since November, I dont have anymore that 5g net carbs a day and less than 5g net sugar. I have decaff, I've cut out fizzy drinks. I have so much more energy, i feel so much better in myself . You gotta look after your health both mental and physical. X

I have diverticulitis and some things that were good for me were cutting out dairy and gluten and taking a probiotic daily. Reducing your caffeine and alcohol intake can also ease intestinal issues (it’s not easy though). Like some other comments have mentioned, you may want to get tested for celiac disease.

Everyone has different foods that cause their issues. You need to keep a good diary and log when you get symptoms to help identify yours. My mum had severe IBS and saw a specialist. She was put on a very bland diet for a while with a diary then had to reintroduce things 1 at a time. It helped her identify what to avoid. The initial diet was very limited but she found it worth it. May be a good idea to get some professional advice..

Nick, I have stress related IBS and used to take Imodium every day. But some days I’d still get an awful tummy and keep running to the loo. I eventually worked out that onion was the trigger. Can’t eat onion, shallots, leeks etc without disastrous effects later. I also get the same problem with fresh cream. I still get bad days but far fewer now since I cut them out of my diet. The onion one is the more challenging because it’s in so many things. Onion powder is in just about every ready meal. I hope you can work out your trigger and feel better soon.

I suffer from IBS and someone suggested I drink all green smoothies as they anti flammotary ...I had it for a week and not had a problem since ..now I have one a week

I watched the film version of Cinderella with Lily James today and cried at the end when the song A Dream is a wish your heart makes was played. Lockdown is definitely making us more emotional. It's funny how Disney songs stir lots of emotions. Think I need a Disney holiday. Maybe next year!

Glad you said that about Wandavision, I just can’t get into it I’m on episode 3 and just don’t get it. So I will persevere now as I’m almost at episode 4 xc

I have to give it to you guys ...I didn’t think I would ever like the apartment as much as the lodge but I really do! It is so cozy! Hopefully you will do DIY when you get the IKEA delivery tomorrow on installing that floor!

Nick, I’d go to see a doctor. I used to have similar problems. I had various different things including reflux, which I had no idea was a thing. Now I’m on tablets and eat less things that make it worse, and I feel so much better. Hope you get it sorted.

My stomach got bad after I turned 40, so far I have had to give up alcohol and caffeine....I don’t eat dairy anyway and luckily don’t have a problem with gluten. Sounds boring but I still enjoy lots of junk and treats! Buscopan (can get it from Tesco) and Gaviscon Advance are my best friends! Feel better soon Nick!

Am very curious to see your balcony looking all nice when you do it 😎 feel for you Nick with your stomach... white bread and anything with onion in tend not to agree with me 😟 try laying on your back with your knees bent whilst massaging your stomach...helps with the wind x

I can't wait to see your balcony once you've kitted it all out, I love everything you've chosen, especially the floor tiles 👍. Today has been absolutely glorious here but for some strange reason it's been a long day 😕! Nick, I had major issues with the Biscoff spread making me sick to my stomach. The oils they use pop up on lots of IBS boards. 😩

Nick, have you ever had a test for Coeliac disease? I have it and your symptoms sound similar to those with a gluten allergy/intolerance. Hope your OK x

As I have gotten older dairy and sugar have turned into my dietary and stomach enemy. I have learned when I listen to what my body is telling me things go much better.

Diet is everything with IBS and IBD, boring I know but not listening means stomach misery. You need to try Buscopan, take Aloe Vera a day in the morning and bio cultures. Peppermint and mint actually is the worst you can take. Hope you feel better soon. X

Buscopan doesnt do anything because its not cramps its just bloating, i cut bread out for a week and it made a huge difference, then I had a mcdonalds burger and WHAM its bubbly again so gonna try cutting it out again

Ginger tea helps a lot too for digestion! I have a gluten intolerance and it helps so much! I don’t have IBS(as far as I know of) but I have gastroparesis and honestly ginger has helped the most.

i'm sorry you're feeling poorly.... have you been checked for celiac disease? i know someone who tried the fod map.... it worked but it was a tough go... best of luck to feeling better

Do you have medication for your ibs? I have been on mebeverin for about 4years now. You take a tablet 3 times a day and 20mins before your food. Garlic is a massive trigger for me along with other foods x

Symptoms sound like it could be coeliac disease (gluten intolerance) although I don't think beer affects you so hopefully not, it would be worth seeing a Dr to at least rule this out.

Everything in moderation...fruit is good but has acid in it which can upset your stomach....try Cornflakes & milk for breakfast for a while and see how you get on.

I haven’t watched WandaVision, but now I have found out that someone I know is going to be on a couple of upcoming episodes, so maybe I should splurge and get Disney+. Today was a pretty rotten day for me, so it’s nice to be able to enjoy your vlog, even if it did take me until evening to be able to watch it.

I found skins on the fruit are the worst, especially plums 😬. Bread and wine are also a big trigger, I think it gets worse with age, know a few people who seem to struggle with wine as they get older. It’s so depressing 🤣

Hi Guys, i have been looking at your breakfast food for a while, with my healthy eye. The grapes have got to go. Other fruits to avoid every day, pineapple and mango. The best fruits for you are Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, lemon, banana and apple. And tastes great

I gave up on Wanda vision watched episode 1 but spent more time looking at my phone then watching the show. I will try the skip to 4 hope it gets better

Try eating gluten free bread and diet like morrisons freeform label foods with plain tonic water or soda water worked for me give it a try

Nick, fellow IBS sufferer here. You seem to have identified your trigger food already. As bread is causing you problems, have you considered the possibility you may have a gluten intolerance. Have you ever been tested for coeliac disease. Fodmap diet is a very difficult diet and should really be undertaken for a very short time under the guidance of a qualified dietician. There is a lot of poor advice out there on Google and can actually cause more problems if you're not careful. I followed dietician advise to the letter and whilst it did settle symptoms initially it didn't make the IBS go away. Take care, I know how awful it can feel at times.

I am also tempted to eat poorly if I bring junk food into the house! Why do my brains cravings have to battle healthy foods all the time.

Nick needs to count out bread,chocolate and gin. Believe me I have the same problem and it does work.eat more fruits,fibre and Veda.
