I do warm to the butterscotch, it gives off those lovely Fall vibes. Fallen leaves, pumpkins in the fields, flames on the hearth and pies on the sideboard. A cup of tea a cozy book and you are set. Ladies don't work too hard. The walls are looking lovely and that lawn tractor is working like a dream. 😊❤

I think whatever colour you like most, Alex, is the colour you should choose. But the butterscotch is very nice, ans I do prefer it to the greens, even though green is one of my personal favorites. Perseverance is definitely the name of the game in a whole lot of your projects. But well worth the time and energy you both put into them. LOVE both your channels. You are both AMAZING!

Sometimes vets will spay and neuter stray cats for free if you bring them in. In the states, this is called trap and release. If kitty comes inside, it’s a good idea for him or her to also be vaccinated against rabies and feline immune deficiency virus. Any health service fees you might incur could be negotiated for exchange of free advertising for the vet with on-camera acknowledgement. Just shy of twenty thousand viewers- that’s nothing to sneeze at! 😊❤

For all of the hard work of getting the bolts out of the bridge, it still works out cheaper than if you had bought the wood fresh, for a bonus you also got some top quality bolts to use on other jobs 😉 I love rescuing old wood to be used elsewhere where, it’s the history behind the piece that intrigues me😀 One year Dad and I went to the tip to get rid of some garden waste when I found 10 pieces of barge blanks. Back in the early to mid 1800’s when they were opening up the Outback to settlers they would buy a barge for the journey up rive, once they arrived at their allotment they would unload the barge and then pull the barge out of the water and started to dismantle the barge. The blanks were used to build their first home just a shed in reality but it would be the first room built of their home. If they were lucky enough to have more than one barge, that would give them a better start to their first home. As they went back to the city for live stock and other supplies, again the cost of the barge was included as the timber was used to add onto their home. The 10 blanks that I rescued I’m cleaning them up to make a kitchen bench top the wood has such tight grain it’s gorgeous. Once sanded and has a bench top rated resin finish applied to it, it will be the perfect finish. I’m hoping to trim one of the blanks into 3-4 thinner sheets to make a laminate for all of the draw fronts so that they will blend together. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for the old foot bridge.🤗🤗🤗

Beware of water lying in the trough when colder temperatures arrive. It could freeze and crack the trough. Alex, I prefer the new color instead of the darker greens.

Butterscotch!!!!!! Beautiful Butterscotch… do the ceiling also and a lighter green woodwork. Not the dark green. Dark green on walls will make the room seem smaller Butterscotch will warm room up even in the gloomiest dark days of winter. Light green accents on woodwork and accessories. I love this color. I might change my bedroom color to this. It’s cheery and warm. You girls are the best. Love the lifestyle. Reminds me of my youth in the seventies. Be safe. Colors are of my opinion only. Whatever you choose should be your choice only.

For efficienct cut the logs in a set size say 18 to 20 inchers stack them where you cut them and then at another time haul them up the hill by the armload.

5:52 Those old homes can be drafty, so bringing color to warm up the walls with a nice muted orange like the butterscotch or even a deep mustard color would give you that rich and inviting look you want, without the dreariness. The color you’ve tried today reminds me of the paint color my mother used to use a lot in the 70’s- burnt sienna. It’s very warm and inviting. I would sit and watch her craft and paint and sew, so these videos make me feel like I’m little girl watching her mom make and do extraordinary things. Alex, use a free digital paint planner like Behr offers online! Then you can really get a feel for a color. Just remember that the color will look differently during various times of the day. Whatever you pick will be great! If you don’t like it, you can always repaint it!

Hi from Colorado, US. We always used a heavy square tarp to gather branches for fire wood. It had grommets and we tied the four corners together after filling w wood. Then made a rope handle to drag the tarp. It was still work, but got more wood for the effort.

I think the greens would be too dark ( for myself. Obviously it's your room and if you love it, then go for a green) and the clay/butterscotch colour is a lovely lovely colour. Very earthy and light (as are you) and you can accent it so much better. Just my opinion. ❤ Cheers from New Zealand 🇳🇿

The butterscotch colour (which i would describe as more of a cognac colour, but that may be just how the colour appears on camera) seems to make you happiest Alex. Go with what you'd most regret not choosing. Sometimes we feel a pull towards something we don't expect, that's just your gut trying to tell your heart and brain to behave themselves! Sometimes what our brain decides is right, or what our heart desires isn't what we need to make us feel right. That's your gut feeling. It'll guide you to your best place. Nowt to stop you having accents of green, brown orange and ochre in your room as well. I'm really excited to see your progress in your room. Some natural heather tones would also look good with that cognac butterscotch too! Excited to see how you progress, william morris had some fabulous colourway combinations for the natural vegetable dyes back in the arts and crafts movement era which may inspire you with your colour combinations even if not your design tastes. 🙂

I rather like the Butterscotch Alex... But then I am NOT a fan of green. Probably because every house my parents lived in my Pops eventually made all the interiors green... green carpet, green walls... green furniture... yuck. I'm more of a fan of purples, blues, and blacks... though my favorite color is the dark, smokey blue-gray of a storm cloud. If I could paint my room that's the color I'd choose... And I love the trough on the wall idea... can't wait to see it all planted up in spring/summer... will make the gate there look lovely. Brilliant plan.
