Brilliant comments. I have been an avid reader from the age of six. My dad always read to me when I went to bed each night before I could read and I would know and say so when he skipped a page much to his chagrin. Going to the cartoons on Saturday I would ask him what the subtitles said. He would say I will tell you later. I couldn’t wait to learn to read and 70 years later my house is full of books and I still get a thrill as I read a new book. Whether new or 2nd hand. How I love a good book.

Sufism took differant faces on all faiths but in islam was more spiritual becuase Sufism came out of Baghdad at a time when it was the capital of the world and a fine civilization. Religion played an important role. Sufism was an escape from material life and replaced it with a happier spiritual life.
