Sorry this is a *long video,* but the purpose was to show you how to create this with nothing but text and the union feature in Lightburn.

Hello Rich, I'm fairly new to light burn but have learned a lot from you since I started following you. You are awesome and enjoy watching and learning from you. But I do have a question I been watching almost all of your videos and I'm struggling trying to see how you would take an image from Google of like a viking for an example or a samurai that has a good amount of detail even as a vector. When I engrave on say like a metal business card my detail on the image doesn't quite come out like it should it's like it's to cluttered the detail is gone kinda. By the way im using a 50w fiber laser it would be awesome if you could post a video of how you would get the best results or the difference between not enough or to much detail. Thank you for everything you do on your channel

Rich, another great video. The possibilities are endless! You mention the difficulty with the tissue paper. Maybe glue the 4 panels to tissue paper before cutting and then use exacta knife or trimmer to cut out the panels. Again great video!!!

Thanks once again Rich. I watched thinking I know how to do that, but still learnt at least two things I didn't know (saying that what I do know I learnt mostly from you). We are not into Halloween in the UK as much as you in the USA and my 9 Grandchildren are all grown up now, so not something I am likely to make. Though I am thinking of a Christmas🎅version.

Another great video Rich, while watching you assemble, I did say you forgot the paper, lol. I am thining that when I try this I am thinking that cellophane would be a good subsituite instead of tissue paper, and easier to work with. Also had another thought leave the tissue paper off and have a coloured tea light shining
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Жыл бұрын
Both great ideas Ian! Tissue paper is what I had on hand at the moment.

This is a great and timely project. You always make it look so simple. You mentioned the paint pens and I looked on Amazon but I was unsure of the brand you used and I would assume you have not had any issues with the pens you buy. Do you get them from Amazon or somewhere else?
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Жыл бұрын
Yes I do Richard! I use the big graffiti markers for the large fills, amzn.to/3EYbUnW, and the fine point pens for cutting in details, amzn.to/3LJnM10. I also do blending with a paintbrush with these acrylic paints: amzn.to/3RIrifM
@stevespringer8385 Жыл бұрын
I did a slightly different version: I glued on the top, left the bottom loose, made the open rectangle in the base instead a solid piece with a hole cut in it to hold the tealight from moving. Then the whole lantern fits over that bottom rectangle to stand in place. Just an easier way to get the tealight in and out.
@jf6720 Жыл бұрын
I do the same thing, to me it makes a lot more sense than to just "drop" the tealight in and hope it falls in place.
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Жыл бұрын
Works either way Steve! I like being able to see my logo when I remove the top 🤪

Hello Great project I am inspired! I bust got an atom stack a20. I don’t seem to have the focus gage. Can you confirm the dimensions for me. I will 3d print a part. Thanks and my apologies for reaching out in this way
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Жыл бұрын
Contact Atomstack for a replacement, or take another look in the box. I suggest you run a ramp test anyway to determine the proper focal length. The focusing tools aren't always accurate. Search ramp on my channel to learn how.

Rich .. what am I doing wrong. I have 3 objects that I want to connect. I go to tools, I see Boolean Assist. .. It's not dark like a lot of them are so when I try to click it .... nothing happens .. I know its got to be another human stupidity by me. I also noted that you bar across the top with File Edit Tools etc. is a lot darker than mine .. can that be fixed? Thanks .. Nat

You can only select 2 items at a time with the Boolean feature. And you can control the screen look in the settings.

I also have a free forum with over 46,000 members that help each other every day. I manage this all by myself, working 70+ hours a week, creating content for you for free. The only thing that I see that's rude are your comments! I don't do personal training and diagnostics in KZbin comments.
