Since Techno gets so much more long range damage imo it's more beneficial to stay in long range. I get an extra %100- 120% extra long range damage. I stay away from Close range attributes. I'm noticing your getting in close range though alot. Idk, to each their own. Also I use Winters Blast in place of bone shrapnel, it does the same thing as ice cycle storm and you also keep the enemies frozen to keep your 90% dmg buff going. Try T3 Winters Blast with T2 ice breaker mod . 👌

If your only freeze comes from cold snap, you're not maximizing borealis bonus. if you simply change your gun mod to ultimate freezing bullets, it grants you 90% extra dmg compared to 75% from killing-spree, and you using the borealis pants will become much more efficient with freezing boost.

I think if you are to swap close range damage, you should go for status power and not cool down reduction. Makes a big difference.

Cooldown is the best. My Cold Snap is at 12 seconds, it is now a great offensive weapon. Not just an uh oh defense system. Combined with the 90 percent damage with the gear set, little chunks of ice fly everywhere. Grin! Kit

@@kitcarson7572 I’m a returning somewhat skilled player returning for the first time since before horizon, originally I only had a pyro who was maxed out but I started a new character for horizon and made it a technomancer and holy shit is technomancer busted for solo survival it feels impossible to die with your ice turret out freezing everything, currently only level 23 on world tier 12-13 and only playing solo but I don’t know why techno was so slept on in the start of the game

There is no reason to run borealis with shatter if only time you freeze is cold snap. If you don't want ultimate freezing bullets, you would be better off just running no set at all, 5 epic pieces with perfect rolls. Could even mess with scrapnel in there for 30% damage buff instead of cold snap.

only reason I like cold snap more is because of the cc not the damage I don't like how situational it is when you don't have UFB on instead of Dark Sacrifice or Killing Spree I find myself struggling and it being not my playstyle, I like burst fire weapons which makes this build almost impossible, if I put UFB I lack a lot of damage but if I use Absolute Zero with Dark Sacrifice I still lack damage because of the burst. I prefer my godrolled 5 piece epic

First, I personally believe you aren't maxing out the potential of the build by relying solely on cold snap for the set bonuses damage. You could at least use ultimate freezing bullets over killing spree, or even use absolute zero with it. You sacrifice the dps from a tactical but can still do significant damage You should recommend mitigation from death or damage Absorber over critstack. The dps from stacking sharp eye and bloodlust IS enough. Next, the pants can prove very beneficial as they have bonus FP, status power, and long range on them. You could easily put something over the tier 3 mod and keep freezing boost.. Now it urks me that you threw status power in the dirt in your video. Status power essentially effects your build more than you realize. 1. Toxic damage 2. Freeze Duration. 3. Vulnerable Duration. So stacking status power complements the build. Lastly, and this is purely preference, the cryo turrets provide more range and utility as you have yet ANOTHER freeze source. It's entirely possible to drop blighted altogether and use cryoturret. If your only source of toxic is from blighted rounds, that's fine. You can also put ultimate toxic on a secondary for backup when you LOSE YOUR ROUNDS, to get that extra damage boost. On a minor note, you can scrap two sides of power for gadget cooldown. On paper it sounds great and yes the boost is great, but having more uptime on cold snap, especially when you need it as an Oh Sh*t button, comes in clutch. I apologize for sounding jerkish but I've been rolling techno since launch, and have played every set, many combinations and builds with it and know the ins and outs of it. If not utilizing the tools at your disposal as someone inexperienced in the class you will become frustrated with this class as it is good all around but can be difficult to set up compared to other classes that have great utility from the beginning.

i think alot of technos are sleeping on using snipers with a full freeze build instead of toxic.... marksman rifle counts as a sniper i believe. the icicle looking sniper rifle is perfect for this type of gameplay too. also, if you are using cover, there is at least one mod that gives you extra damage when using cover, so that is a must with this build also. i have a marksman rifle with the exact same mods as that icicle looking sniper rifle, and with a full freeze build i absolutely wreck multiple mobs when i use crits, because the rifle freezes mobs around my target when i hit a crit on the target. best to hit elites with multiple trash mobs around them with a crit to freeze not only the elite, but the trash too, then usually a second crit or 2 and they all explode together. i dont even need bone shrapnel with this type of build. also, since you are usually at long range from cover, drop close range damage for status power on all gear. i run crit, status and long range on weapons, and bonus firepower, status and long range on the armor. makes the freeze last longer.

dark sacrifice pairs prefect w rejuvenation on armor given techno can heal from any dmg and the constant DS ticks plus dmg on anything u see mean rejuvenation is always up also the legendary rifle for links enemies for dmg share along w string of gauss as the second mod on it w a good roll plus cold snap and the set bonus you just insta delete hordes from aoe its amazing target the fodder and the elites will just die or be near dead a decent secondary rifle for this is the jinx double gun as its got tier 3 toxic pair w tier 3 freeze as second mod w decent dmg roll on it and if you somehow have blighted rounds on cooldown this works to give you toxic and freeze for all your bonus dmg your debuffs etc and itd a solid dps weapon over all so if you are trying to min max and get the armor but not the weps thats a solid one for this or for other toxic/freeze based techno setups

I've been using winter blast instead of ult freezing bullets, it's also 1sec cd, just needs aim for critical and freezes everything in 5m radius of initial target. I tried ufb but having to shoot everything to freeze them sucked. I also like freezing component mod for blighted turret.

Thank you so much for this video, you have a new sub from me! --I have been struggling with staying alive in solo CT15s using Dark Sacrifice I put ultimate freezing bullets on both of my weapons so if for whatever reason I ever run out of Blighted Rounds, I can survive and rely on the Borealis intrinsic bonus for damage. The Headhunter sniper with Burst of Decay + Toxic Lead synergize very well without having Blighted Rounds on!

@@LtBuzzLitebeer depends on what you're shooting at. If I'm at a part of an expedition, I'm using my EBR tactical (with dark sacrifice and advanced freezing rounds). If I'm going against the hordes of monsters absolute zero will easily out class the tactical. Give it a try and see if you don't notice how much more effective you are at holding them back while still putting out really good damage. Because I watched this video, went and jumped back on to do some expeditions. Last one I did was mountain outpost on T15 and finished with 220 million total. The majority of that expo is against the monsters where I used AZ.

Uh Buzz, this build is legit. I didn’t have all the Borealis pieces in the right slots, but I did have other pieces which work well. It worked well. Somewhat glass cannon, but as soon as you shoot you heal up quickly. With decent long range damage, mobs and bosses melt. Thank you!

my Techno is currently running a 5 piece epic. I had been using the chest piece borealis but wanted to see if the close range/long range make any difference in damage output, it really didn't. Guess I'll try this setup and see how it performs. I really do like doing AOE but it was the individual damage that was concerning me. Luckily I recently and finally gotten a amber vault for killing spree. dark sacrifice takes a lot to get use to especially the immediate lowering of health and the need to kill things to bring it back up fast.

Dark Sac or KS will do more damage on anything that lasts a few seconds, Such as brood mothers, dr in boomtown. I can pretty much two tap everything with the renegade using this build. Really solid build. If you watch dawhsons world records you learn so much. Made me fall in love with the build. But everyone has their preferred method and style so play what makes you happy 😍

you can steadily farm Challenger Tiers and if you find it rather painful to do the same missions again on the same challenger tier in order to upgrade to continue going up, just pick up the beast hunt quest and farm haurus for resources to upgrade and farm gear and attributes hope this helps!

I Totally disagree I usecold snap occasionally , the cyro turet's aren't horrible , I out damage anybody using cold snap, I use the mod icebreaker frozen killing shots make enemies explode dealing 213, 234 damage so once the turrets start freezing everything I destroy everything, I don't have to wait for the long cool down of cold snap, icebreaker basically does the same thing with out that super long cool down by the time I have killed 10 or more per every second make them explode while you wait on cold snap I have killed half the map.

Why not use ultimate freezing bullets for constant 90% increased damage? Also the armor piece with freezing boost (15%) is great with the set bonus, definitely better than dum dum bullets. Not saying your build is wrong but honestly I don’t run a survival mod on my build and only have 1 armor piece with health because it’s a set piece and then I have 2 points down middle tree being health and cooldown for coldsnap

All valid points. I ended doing a follow-up video to this one, explaining that I was wrong for not using UFB, due entirely to the fact that I was not seeing the 90% bonus from Borealis. I ended up using the armor off, armor on trick and it instantly starting showing up. I posted an updated PINNED comment on that video stating that.

I tried that assault rifle but Bone Shrapnel just doesn’t seem to proc but I’m still under L48. I am using Inferno Seed with the second perk changed to Embalmer’s Rage, since I’m on console so its tougher to hit crits. I hope to get some legendary armor drops one day but the drops rates are terrible since New Horizon. I never get more than one legendary no matter what the map on my L50 Pyro, so its worst on my other characters at 45+

So as far as I can gather it simply boils down to inferno seed and the earthborne renegade man. Other guns do okay. Don't get me wrong. And in some cases other weapon choices come close to comparable. But inferno seed has been THE gun for me and my techno since.... may? Lol. Ultimately. Whatever you're most accurate with. 3 round burst or full auto.

What i don't get is how does everyone in these videos get to mod their gear in a perfect way? I can only change 1 slot and then the other 1 locks.

That's how it's designed, you'll have to farm for a piece of gear with the stats you want, gotta love looter shooters

I use pain launcher two cryos and toxic rounds my status is 111 and skill damage 760 with 3 piece set from leg set psn dachampionhood
