This is yet another place that has changed hands many times over the years. It was terrible, then great, then terrible again. The last one I had there (October 2022) was pretty average. The trouble is that most of the customers are obviously passing trade, so they don't have to build up a solid customer base. Apart from the residents of course. Pleasant staff, but standard food. I hope you enjoy the test of your time in Benelmadena. Why not 'go Spanish' and have an authentic meal in Malaga? It's 25 minutes away on the train. ❤

You like what do, but you don't know if you like other meals as you never try them....... please try something else even if just at home off vid to give it a go. I no longer watch the eating and the review bit of the same stuff every time (honest feedback Lee). I watch your vids as they are great fun. I suspect there are 100's of viewers the same? Your travel and looking about vids are bloody brilliant, your a top guy but food reviews bar fish & chips as you know this food, aren't your ticket buddy. Also, pictures of foods on menus are essential if you are travelling in China or Indonesia and all you can do to communicate is smile & point....been there!

There are other Chinese dishes that are tasty: General Tso Chicken, Orange Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, Sesame chicken and Pepper steak which is not spicy. I have never seen Fries ( Chips) on a Chinese menu in the United States.

Whatever floats your boat...chips and chinese is fine. When I was young, and working the 3 day week back in the 70's, (Heath government?) I shared a bag of chips and a banana fritter from the Chinese with my mate, after 1 pint at the pub. It was all we could afford. When I was even younger I made cheese and jam sandwiches, now that's controversial

Cashews were raw like from a health food shop not roasted and salted. Chicken balls were in cornflour not batter so won’t be crispy.

It all looked very ordinary Chinese food to me. Like you’d get from a high street take away in England in the 70’s and 80’s. I’d give it a 3/10. But if you order basic Chinese food then that’s the risk you take I suppose

You did ask what would we have chosen. Well if it were me I would have looked at the Menu and carried on walking. The reason most of it was Westernized Chinese. Chips & Rice??? Seeing what you chose I would have given it a 1.

That did look fairly average, but the prices were pretty good. Maybe they'd be better off if they raised the prices about 10% and used the extra money to improve the quality of the food.

The best??Well minus points for customer service 😮 can only serve as main course 😢Rubbish!! Visually not great to look at.Rice seemed a bit clumpy.Fries,more heat than taste 😢 Your balls looked a tadge dry on the inside.OK, you met the owner,and he was nice😊the food, fair price😊,quality of food 😢 The beer,looked appealing 😊 Overall, would not rush to try this restaurant 😢But,at least you tried it😊 As a personal thing,I always add something new in my order. The batter on the sweet and sour, being non crispy that's 'Hong Kong' style. I thought the chicken and cashew nuts, a favourite of mine, looked insipid. Id have tried the king prawns and maybe beef green pepper black bean sauce, a favourite of yours. Food looked very average imo. Looked like Mondays leftovers from a Sunday buffet. I could cook better.

Those prices are AMAZING. My local Chinese takeaway about 40% more and that's takeaway not sit down. (Sunny North Wales) 😊 Edit i now know why prices low, it was average at best.

It’s ok saying it’s reasonably priced but if you didn’t enjoy it, whatever you paid is expensive. The sweet and sour chicken balls were obviously soggy as they had sat in the thin sauce, it should be sticking to the balls not for the balls to be sitting in it. Didn’t look the best of Chinese foods but at least you’ve tried it and know not to go back. By the way, I thought you were tee-total now after the health scare but I see you having a beer :( take care of the health and all the best, :)

Chips at Chinese restaurants are always fries - at least at the ones I've been too. If you want the proper chips, you've gotta go to a Chinese takeaway (bit like how it's mushy peas at a chippy, and garden peas at a restaurant.)

Looked the type of place where if you were out in a group watching a game or what not, had a good few and just wanted something to eat with another few beers then it would hit the spot. Doing an actual review of it though then there’d probably be a lot better places. That’s the beauty of doing food reviews - you need to try the good with the bad! Or okay ish in this case!

Batter won't be crispy when it's been covered in the Sweet and sour sauce. I find here in the UK crispy shredded beef is never crispy either. Thin and crispy pizza is never crispy either.

Had a Chinese from the WOK in benidorm opposite where were staying in flamingo oasis, was more of a Thai raise to it. But the Chinese down the road by the supermarket near the beach in benidorm is lovely. I'm off there again November 19th haha. Them prices Lee look awesome

If I find grissle in a restauant meal... it's sometimes pewk in the toilet time. The fries looked like a failed McDonald product, God knows why you ordered 'em with 2 meals and a rice!!! However, entertaining. Cahew nuts should be fried quickly in oil before adding to meal. Anyhows... fair enjoyed the video - Many Thanx ;)

A rake of Chinese food and hot weather don't go well together at all Chinese, for me is a comfort food best served on a cold winters night, not when you've been wandering around in 35c. I've lost count of the amount of takeaways from the Xiao Xiao in Qawra (Malta) only to have a few spoonfuls and bin the rest. Favourite on the menu? Beef in black bean sauce for me. Sweet and Sour chicken balls bloat me out. But as for what you had? < £20 with a pint? Can't go wrong. 8/10.

The price was cheap so it was a very basic Chinese restaurant in Spain.The sauce for the chicken Hong Kong style there was hardly any and not a lot of veg normally the veg should be quite chunky, Chicken and cashew nuts the only thing saving that Msg. Our favourite are Shredded beef with chilli,Beef, green peppers in black bean sauce and Singapore Rice noodles, Tanya is BBQ Spare Ribs,Beef Cow Mein and Crispy Chicken balls with Sweet and Sour sauce. Ooooh I would have murdered those chips, I like spicy stuff like that, just checked and none of the Chinese places we use have salt 'n pepper chips on the menu. The Chinese restaurants vary quite a bit here in SA so what I order depends on where we go, they're all much of a muchness in terms of menu except one that tries to be different. That's the most expensive one and has some quite unusual dishes, one of which has what seems to be bits of plastic in it, it's quite nice though, if you like eating plastic. One dish I really liked from the Chinese takeaways in the UK was their curries, always hot and spicy and just plain delicious whereas here they all taste the same, like they buy the sauce ready made from the same place, thoroughly dull and uninteresting. I didn't know that chicken in Spanish was pollo, so it was individual Spanish chickens that landed on the moon back in the '60s, the moon landing conspiracy theorists were right !!

It would be nice to see some Spanish food. It would be good if you tried food in Thailand and Vietnam with Geoff Carter. Its better food and full of banter with Geoff. That chinese food looked vile. I reckon a 3/10. Seems like after chatting to the owner it got a higher point score. Despite it being a good score I would avoid
