The amount of people commenting that clearly have the attention span of a parrot and the IQ of a goldfish is scary really. It’s not his own car. He’s not saying that this is a must have, but pointing out the good he finds in the car, which is balanced rather than puking on everything for the sake of hating EVs. As a family man I of course also think the best comparison would be to throw 2 kids and a wife in there plus their stuff and run a comparison against say an old Volvo. But for crying out loud people, don’t take everything literally. Comedy and sarcasm seem to have become something way too many don’t understand anymore.

The easy way to see things is Lee is a techboy who likes his toys including all things powered by the invisible juice, he has highlighted every disadvantage an EV comes with even though my nose says he'd buy another Taycan in a heartbeat if the deal was right for him. What he always makes clear is he's smitten with the car but doesn't like the limited range, charging times & cost when using public charging & that charging isn't always convenient. For me there's only one real issue with EV's and that is safety based, I think the location of the cell pack is wrong and too close to impact zones and even though they have a fuse to shut down in a crash deformed lithium ignores that and carries on doing what lithium does if it's two elements get together for a party. I also believe a lot of the instant no real reason for it burning EV's could be due to user error, people may tinker with an EV without knowing what they're doing, they may add aftermarket devices that the EV wasn't intended to use unless fitted by an expert fitter, damaged charger cables, poor household electrics leading to charger and charger port malfunctions or the car is used in conditions that don't suit safe use of lithium products, if I vape high wattage (I don't btw) continuously the device can get very hot in the hand, it's the same principal with an EV, gun it to death then plug it in could just be enough overheat it and cause a thermal event, charging a frozen cell pack can have the same effect and even though safety cutouts are fitted do they always work? He also likes to wind people up as well when they're firing at him, clicks and a comment is what is really important on the tube so either way every comment good or bad helps his channel and he's been open about that in the past as well. I can't confirm it but I did hear rumours he's not actually human, there was a website for early human like robots that were linked to some fella called Evelyn Moist and the Lee 1000 model was featured but withdrawn because it ate too many fish & chips and got stuck on saying "right my friends" & "lets go", so unless the owner of a Lee 1000 was present to nudge it like a stuck LP record it didn't say much else other than that. Oh and the other thing it stuck on was at charging time, it would keep saying "right lets plug me in, communicating with Lee, thinking about it, communicating with Lee, charging conditions met, charging, right lets go get a coffee". None of this is a problem with the other model the Dave 500 that can also cut your hair & review food.

I'm sorry Lee, but there is no way I will ever need and EV. When I eventually replace my currently 10 ear old Hyundai (in about another 10 years), it will be with a big old 1970's Plymouth or Dodge V8. Actually, I will probably just keep the Hyundai until it falls apart, and get the V8 as well.

The power and torque delivery is addictive on these to be honest. The surefootednes is other worldly also considering mine has 850nm. It's so quick. Compared to a rs6 performance the big Audi doesn't come close once it's rolling....

I have an ICE car that part estate, part sports car, and just beautiful to drive. Because it is Japanese, has a V6 3.5 litre quad cam engine I am happy. If I can't buy a car with an ICE I will just keep this one. It will outlive me. 😊

The mandatory Euro systems include several features you cannot disable. As time goes on, fewer and fewer features will be accessible to the driver. It’ll be telling you what you can do and it will prevent you doing anything that the Fat Controllers don’t like. Geofencing software & remote control is built in from next week. I personally think the control software has been installed at the factory for years, perhaps at far back at ten years. When the global dictators choose, they can activate the remote tracking and remote control systems. That’s why I bought a 20 year old car. My motorcycles are both 47 years old.

The longest I have been bursting for a wee on that trip was 9hrs , yes 9 hrs to do 234 miles now that shows the state of our road more than me holding my bladder LOL

To coin your phrase, I think you’ll find, if you had driven close enough to Paris you would have indeed seen signs that relate to air quality. Maybe they escaped your attention because they are written in French. As a Brit, or any of your viewers that regularly drive to various countries in and out of the EU will know, France has a clean air certificate system known as ‘Crit Air’ Electronic signs above the roads tell one/ you what vehicles may drive into the centre of Paris. (0 thru 5) I got rid of my French EV, that had a level Zero green certificate, in favour of a car that uses a fuel system I have not touched in 20 years. I now have a French Petrol car, Euro 6 emissions and has a purple / magenta level 1 round sticker on the windscreen. This sticker costs approximately £4 including postage to the UK. If one is caught without the sticker, the fine is something like 115 Euros. France is rolling this out to other cities too. The French crit air is also valid in other countries like Switzerland. You quickly realised there are zero boarders in EU countries, hence not needing your passport as you crossed into Spain. Yes I watch all your videos. Switzerland does have border controls and you may indeed need your passport if the boarder control is actually being controlled, it wasn’t last time I went through late at night. I did stop there to buy the £50 vignette, a sticker that allows one to use many of their roads. Please pass this on to Geoff & your viewers. The number of cities in the UK requiring cleaner, low emission vehicles is growing. One final very important note on French potholes. In April 2024 I was driving from Orly to Paris in the dark. I hit something and thought a front wheel had broken away from the car. Checking the dash cam later, I saw it was a pothole. The worst I have ever ‘not’ seen lol.

It may be nice now that its new, but what about down the line when depreciation occurs faster than you can pay it off, and your resale value tanks. I would have thought that you would have learned something from your first one. As for being practical, it barley qualifies as an estate car. If you could fit the bike without swiveling the bars, removing the tires, or lowering the rear seats, you would have a proper estate car. What you have there is just pretending to be an estate car.

I never put my bike inside my car without covering the floor with a sheet of cardboard and throw rugs draped over the bumper. You will cause damage to the interior and probably the exterior. Remember that when you purchase an EV, you have lost 40-50% driving off the lot. It’s already old technology that nobody wants. It’s a computer on wheels. EV is the future but not ours.

Now here's a naughty question for you... If you turn off any assistive features (lane keep, speed warning, collision warning, cross traffic etc) and have an accident.... Will your insurers read back your ECU data and then dismiss a claim because you turned off the inherent safety? That's a worry - it doesn't say anything specifically in my policy, but what do they define as a modification? Hmmm!

I would have expected a 100k+ premium car to have electric fold down rear seats or if you want to slum it at least a manual handle in the back to drop them. However this set up seems to be like some basic cheap hack where you have to open the rear doors to pull the catch, then open the front doors to move the front seat forward enough for the seat to drop because the headrest is in the way. What an outdated design, Could do better

Imagine if the new government really got behind battery manufacturing? We could lead the world, bring £billions into Britain and provide thousands of jobs. If you really wanted to test how practical this car is, you should’ve put it to charge when you went to the loo. As evangelists will tell you battery technology is advancing enough that you will have to stop for your needs before the car has to stop but once you stop, you should put it to charge so that when you return to the car, a fast charging car like the new taycan will have charged enough for your return trip as well.

My 2015 Tesla model S 85d is about the same as this new PorschA. I can fit bikes in the boot and drive for 500 kilometres. 3.3 seconds to 100. It also self drives and was cheap as chips to buy second hand 😂. Your PorschA is getting better. Now you know why we keep saying. You should have bought a Tesla 😂.

Not seen you charge it yet, 2hrs later..................... it's gonna take forever to charge on a 'normal' charger, I do engineering, what comes out has to go in, and you don't drive further for less energy unless your car is mega light, so the battery will need more energy in to get more out, pretty logical?, so at some point your gonna end up sat for hours at a low powered charger or splash and dash it to a high power charger, good luck with that, 😉😊🤗
