If ya can't get the gland off, I welded a handle to it and beat it off with a hammer. Worked like a charm. I have a 530ck diesel and there's literally nothing being powered except lights and starter. Other than that..no glow plugs, no alternator. Love this thing until I hit a log under the dirt that shot up into my oil pan. Now I'm in the process of rebuilding the 188d motor. Good content!

Hello again themadmailer, I am trying to see reversing the linkages so it will be on the inside like you said I am wondering if that would cause stepping on the gas to be backwards, lol. I know I will have to see that when I get back to Oregon in a couple weeks. Thanks for the replay

[thank, you for youre great helpful video.👍 i, have, a 1966, case ck. 530 diesel Backhoe. just got done having a new replacement diesel fuel injection pump installed. $3 thousand. that old pump last for 1966 to 2024]

I just pulled these rods off my 530ck diesel today. I think mine was in about the same condition as yours when I got it. Looking forward to watching your rebuild.

Hello themadmailer, i have a 1960 case 540, my books say a 530 is diesel and a gas one is a 540, maybe thats the way they fid it in 1960. Anyway i had to put another engine in it and i have two carburetors and they both are backwards. I m ean if i put one on to where the carb will plug into the air breather, toward the front of tractor, then the throtle is on the outside so will not hook up to the governor linkage. Do you or would you show how yours is hooked up?thank you

All taken apart there was no reverse or forward on it
