Tbh, I hate when all these positional super-GMs suggest "ideas" that really accomplish nothing but they present them as borderline tactical finds. Naka, as much as I love him, does that a lot, I've noticed. I feel like that's what Jordan has done here. He suggested "ideas" that pretty much just put pieces on nice squares but did nothing concrete, and Magnus nicely refuted that charade.

"So, anything new today? Something I should know?" Magnus, in his sandals, arm casually draped over the back of the chair, slowly stroking his beard, leisurely exploring the (to him) somewhat interesting idea, carefully researched by his second, is positively regal. He looks like a king, more than any character on movies or shows, more than real kings we have nowadays. "Yeah, but what's your idea? I mean... So, king g6?" Royal energy.

@@erasify4040 No, he is isn't implying that. He is referring to his experience helping with prep work for the WCC in the past. unimainable. The ability to play chess games blindfolded with a computer, just telling you the words, or in case sitting backwards to a chessboard just for itself is just insame. sadly 99.99% of people cannot comprehend how much work goes into preparing for an opponent (let alone a world title match). Us 2200+ plebs spend hours in the very same way, but we are no where near this good or have this kind of work force helping us. Its a crazy world we live in as chess professionals or wannabe chess professionals! Ultimately I would like to say it is fun though... but sometimes I wonder... sometimes you lose and its just agony!!! Good luck to anyone and everyone who is busy prepping :)
