@@danman6669 while this is true and worth knowing for non-english speakers, personally I think that they should be considered more interchangeable than they are normally treated. Being that both have the same Latin root, and that they have synonymous uses in many cases. While complement is more directly enhancing/completing something else, because compliment is a form of flattery towards something else, that (particularly in the case of singing) the singers do flatter each other which has the effect of complementing each other. So they really could do away with one word or the other and it would hardly be the most confusing thing to new speakers and would probably help native speakers by trimming down extra words that are normally understood contextually either way. Of course that is just my personal opinion.

This is the first song that put me back in my 2000's to 2010's emo vibes. Absolute masterpiece. All of the vocals mesh beautifully, the artists lyrics tell a painful story reminiscent of the older music era. I just got dumped by someone I thought I was in love with.
