F3 on hit into B4 at the wall, one of the best frame trap Bryan has, if he trades with a jab, he is +19, 3+4,2 is guaranteed(If he has snake eyes). This just shows how important it is to know when to press and duck.

@CosmicVoid420 It's should be +6 from close range, I think at the wall you always get +6, but I might be wrong, and B4 is i16. People get ch'd from double F3 a lot because they press, both B4 and F3 are i16. This setup should work with 1+2 on hit too, because it's +6, so B4 will trade with a jab. Actually I think I meant to write 1+2 and not F3 originally, but whatever.

Bryan 1+2,1 Uf2*~~,3 into taunt setup on the wall can be back dashed on wakeup to escape the taunt. Bryan has to dash into taunt to hit which doesn't make taunt meaty on tech roll. If bryan goes for 1+2,1 ending on the wall omitting the UF2 string his dash taunt will now hit meaty and becomes inescapable on techroll like b3->u. db1+2 on the wall.

That "never step" advice seems kinda bullshit when we're talking about beginner level. You CAN step Bryan to the right and you should, if Bryan is spamming big plus on block mids at you. And low level Bryans will.

if the bryan goes for the uf22… ender foe wall combo you can techroll into back dash and taunt wont reach thats also the reason why many go for b21 f 1+2

But the Bryan player can dash in, still the wall combo you mentioned is the best for taunt setup, but he can do stuff like not finishing the wall combo on purpose, like let's say he is doing simply like DF2,1, you tech roll he taunts and you get launched. Stuff like that, you know. So staying on the ground is still the best option.

How is Bryan's homing moves considered that good? All of his homing move are kinda slow so you can step guard. 1+2 i17 not really that scary on normal hit. ff4 animation is i16 with a ff input. So in reality it's gonna be like 20f or slower. df4 is like i22.

All of those moves are safe on block and lead to good damage/oki. If Bryan does them after one of his many plus on block moves the speed is less of a factor. If he needs faster moves he has good tracking on df1 to his left and df2 to his right. Idk if he has the best anti-ss in the game but it's up there.

Context (I’m a fujin Bryan) I played against a fujin Lars today and was mixed up heavy with stance into lows and strings that have lows in it… I personally didn’t care and took notice because I felt like it was hella desperate but it’s part of the game… I won the last two rounds by doing taunt 1,4 and taunt 2,3 knowing well enough that I have a hard time landing b4 or any other sequence, but I know that any chip damage is worth getting because it makes the opponent impatient… after the game was finished I received a message saying that taunt guard break was scrubby… I can obviously tell that this person has probably never touch another character other than Lars but I told him taunting in a real match is hella hard especially when going up against someone who always has a button out there… pressing the three buttons at the same time, sometimes requiring a dash and double input, and confirming into a button… I told him to try out Bryan, I doubt he would but I just felt utterly disrespected hearing that taunt was a scrubby tactic

I've almost exclusively only played Bryan in Tekken 7 and 8, the games might as well have been called Bryan 7 and Bryan 8 for me. It's crazy how so many Bryan mains have been telling people how to beat this character and his CLEAR weaknesses but, no one wants to listen. They see his damage and think there's absolutely no way he can be below top 3. It's like they can't fathom the idea of not mashing and being tactical with their Offense. People like complaining more than actually improving.

Bryan is awesome because you MUST outplay your opponent. His poking is trash but your reads trump poking. Your defense must be good because you intentionally lose your turn on offense. His theory of counter-hitting sucks in a game of braindead one-button moves into 50/50. But when you make it work? 🤯

Is his poking really that trash? d2 is an i14 mid elbow that tracks SSR his weak side. Can even track SWR if he has plus frames. -2 on block. d23 2nd hit is delayable, only -10 on block, knocks down and wallsplats on normal hit, launches on CH.

@ those aren’t his pokes. Nobody pokes at i14. Series mainstays launch at i14. His jabs have no range. Unless you’re mashing 1️⃣ and 2️⃣ on frame advantage and aren’t being ducked or outright blocked, you shouldn’t be mashing to lose your turn as Bryan.
