Excellent video. You are way better than the news! I have to admit surprise, though, at so many firefighters without scba gear on, even right up close with smoke blowing up at them. I noticed ladder 46 got caught when they were completely enveloped in smoke and quickly put their masks on, but then took them off again when the wind shifted. The two in Ladder 33 seemed to be getting smoked constantly but had no gear. I would have thought wearing those would be mandatory. A little smoke here, a little more there, and it adds up over time.

Oh, so your name's John!! Well, John, congrats on another AWESOME vid!! I love your rooftop filming. You not only get a fantastic view of fire from there, but you also get a great view of the neighborhood it's occurring in!! And I love that because I love NYC more than any other city I've visited both in the US and in Europe!! I got intrigued by what Nagle Ave is all about watching your vid, so I did a bit of research. HOLY MO!!! You can't rent a puny little room for less than $1,700 there!!! GAD ZOOKS!! I know renting an apt in NYC and vicinity is outrageously expensive, but honestly ...😣😣😣 Anyway, as fantastic as your rooftop filming is, I wager it can be dangerous too, leaning over to film without a safety rail to keep you from falling. So I'll add to what everyone else has said here: STAY SAFE!!! 😉

Not being from New York and never having heard the term before, I had to look it up: In real estate, urban planning, and especially firefighting, a taxpayer refers to a small one or two story building built to cover the owner's annual property tax assessed for owning a parcel of land.[1] They are usually constructed with the hope that they can soon be redeveloped into a larger building capable of generating more revenue. Taxpayer buildings are criticized for being poorly or cheaply built, but allow a developer to stay in business while they wait for more favorable conditions. A fire in a taxpayer is a special hazard in firefighting. The poor quality construction often burns readily, and the architecture tends to encourage backdrafts.[1] Many have been renovated several times over and have concealed or undocumented voids.[2] More modern taxpayers were built with fire-resistant materials and are less of a hazard. This is from Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxpayer_(building)
