Not only is it the end of the album, it’s also the end of the 18-minute Abbey Road Medley, and most consider it the end of the Beatles, since it’s the last song in the last album they recorded; also it’s a banger and each member get their moment to shine.

Radiohead just has so many good ones, Blow Out, The Tourist, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Life in a Glasshouse, A Wolf at the Door, Videotape, Separator, True Love Waits… literally every album’s closer is straight fire 🔥 or straight depressing

One of my favorite closers has to be the title track of Octavarium by Dream Theater. A 24 minute long masterpiece that ties everything Dream Theater had done up to that point in one song.

Personal Favorites • Cavehead/MEPEM by Frankie and the Witch Fingers • Float Along Fill Your Lungs by King Gizzard • BRILLIANT by Shinedown, the feel of the song is like a dying star • II by Fuzz, pretty jammy and energetic • In a Dream by Red Vox

I agree with a majority of this list. These are album closers that I personally love: Supergrass - Time to Go (I Should Coco) Klaatu - Little Neutrino (3:47 EST) Yes - Siberian Khatru (Close to the Edge) Greta Van Fleet - Black Smoke Rising (From the Fires)
@nolanreyes97122 жыл бұрын
The songs featured in these albums are all killer, no filler. Not just the closing tracks. But it's still mind blowing to finish these albums with tracks that leave you wanting more. Most albums these days only have 1 or 2 good songs.
@kevinfarrell31212 жыл бұрын
A lot of good picks! In my mind “Brothers In Arms” is #3 and “The End” is in the trash can along with Nirvana. But the rest are great pick’s
@larrytoons62202 жыл бұрын
Where's the most obvious one The End- Abbey Road Its not just the closing track to Abbey Road, but the chronological end to the Beatles as a band. That makes The End such a perfect summary of the Beatles, featuring every Beatle on an instrument, Fast energy, a slower ending arranged by George Martin, and harmonies lined within. So basically its kinda disappointing that Sgt. Pepper was on here instead.
@emilywilkins51242 жыл бұрын
Not the closing track lmao. Her majesty is technically after. And as much as I love the end, A Day In The Life is better in my opinion
@larrytoons62202 жыл бұрын
@@emilywilkins5124 Technically, but Her Majesty was supposed to be in the middle of the Medley, bridging the gap between Mean Mr. Mustard, and Polythene Pam. It was cut out and tacked onto the end for some odd reason. But opinions are opinions anyway, if you like Day in The Life more, you like it more.
@emilywilkins51242 жыл бұрын
@@larrytoons6220 Yeah, I know where it was meant to be, but that doesn't change the fact that it is at the end of the album, meaning the end is not the closer, even thouggh it was meant to be

I love the ending of Breakfast in America, maybe is not happy at all, but that piano and sax solo in Child of Vision is wonderful. For me the best and longest piano solo in Pop Rock music (Even that I consider that as Jazz Rock or Art Rock)

I thought this list was to show the best endings to an album, half seam like favorites instead Jimi Hendrix’s Bold As Love is by far the best way to close in album in my mind, and amazing song too! Metallica’s Damage Inc. and Dyer’s Eve are great 1 2 punches to end great albums. The end of an era for Metallica for sure. The Beatles cover Twist And Shout was a great way to end their debut too. Also, you can’t deny A Day In The Life as an amazing way to end an album, even if such album and song aren’t my favorites. Also Beatles The End would be my favorite ending if Her Majesty wasn’t placed 40 seconds after it lol

@@brenetssss radiohead songs are remarkably taut and tightly wound, there's no excess.. they're very like the beatles that way and i personally value that really highly in songwriting as a sign of skill, so i'd probably place every radiohead album closer aside from maybe separator and true love waits above any prince song.
