Just started watching & in the preview, where the student is kicking him in the privates area...wondering if he's not practicing the "kung" where you pull the "jewels" into your body? True story...many years ago while I was still in high school I got into a tussle with a guy & he went to kick me in the family jewels & I spontaneously pulled them into my body. I'm not sure how I did it but I did do it. The other kid probably thought he missed. He missed all right. While there is the view that we can often surprise ourselves with the abilities we have I'm going with the theory that this was "bleed through" from a previous life when I studied the martial arts & learned this particular "Kung". I'd be interested in other people's theories on why I was able to do this. ???

doesn't matter what style you study I've boxed I've kickbox I've studied Taekwondo I've studied American Kenpo Karate I've done Okinawan goju-ryu the thing is is being well-rounded if you want to be a fighter you want to be effective as a fighter you got to be well-rounded that's why Bruce Lee became who he was because of how he was with this training and what he wanted to be like Kung Fu Taekwondo go to Rue all the martial arts systems out there or not going to teach you those skill sets as a fighter they're going to teach you the history of each particular system and how and why they were developed see you guys out there want to sit there and talk about fighting MMA this UFC this you missed the whole historical concept behind each are a lot of people go out there because they want to study something that's been around a lot longer than they have it has a history they will care about what they are and how they are in the rain they don't care who they can beat her who they can't be all they care about and what they enjoy is the art like boxing a lot of people do boxing I've done boxing I don't fight I do it because I like it it's a good way to stay in shape historically if you look at history what what what what's there to prove why why do you need to get in the Octagon to prove that you're that you have the ability to use the techniques that your taught why are there's no point in it it's like measuring your ability to be able to fire firearm each firearms made different at each bullet is different each bullet has a different grain when you're out shooting and you're in combat situation which weapon would be more effective yo the martial arts is the same way y'all want everybody that ever stays it to just stop studying you know this guy's been what's 77 years old he doesn't want to fight he wants to hold on to their culture he wants people to understand their culture their history he wants to pass it down to somebody that's reason why I teaches it has nothing to do with his ability to be able to take somebody out all you UFC MMA fighter why because now you get these young punk asses that get in there that want to do that and they challenge anybody and everybody it was good in one sense it's bad in another because now you y'all missed the whole historical concept all together it's not all about fighting one of these days all them guys and what the hell you going to do then the point is it's not all about fighting sometimes it's about cultural and history of the art some people study it for the history and the art not because oh well you study get in the ring and prove it like I said before I've already done boxing and I've already done kickboxing and I I was compared to the back of my younger years now I study it for the history yeah like you have history Buffs it's a good history lesson so stop with trying to with all the comments of old try that stuff in the MMA MMA the guys that are doing it over there you got lot of the guys are old man that have been doing martial arts a hell of a lot longer than your young ass has and they have a history they have a cultural history like Wing Chun Kung Fu and everything else why does everything have to be about fighting to y'all why why is it or getting the ring and prove it what are you going to do then when you cannot lot no longer fight what are you going to do when you get old I wish you guys would stop your bullshit stop criticizing people that study a big historical value to their country and cultural you don't understand they're not doing it to know how to beat somebody in the ring they're doing it because they're passing history among those that want to learn it and their culture you guys at like to fight go fight stop criticizing people that do arts I will study Kung Fu I will study Taekwondo I'll study karate I'll study just about any art that I could get my hands on because I do it for the culture and the history of the style that I'm studying not because how effective I could be or how effective I'm not inside the ring that shit doesn't matter because one of these days and a good example is Chuck Liddell he's an 8th degree black belt in Hawaiian Kenpo okay he was a fighter once he's still probably can you know scrap if he needs to but what else does he have to prove nothing and that's just like a lot of the fighters out there they fought in the rain Lee did their thing a lot of lot of fires with said nothing to prove so why is it people in the comment section sit there and say we'll try that shit in the rain a lot of people making the comments had never even studied anything in their life they don't even know how to get in the rain they don't even know how to fight and they make stupid ridiculous comments about people that study the Arts or getting the ring and try that shit okay whatever you owe people there's more to fighting than just getting in the ring and fighting a lot of people do it for the art I don't care how effective I am I'm not out there trying to prove myself to anybody or anything

If he's slow, that is. Another Grandmaster, again a style of fighting what absolutely will not work in a real fight. Why?? Well look at any other real fight, you don't see these techniques and look when he punch, he is holding back. Go find a true fighter, boxer,mma fighter,street fighter or not matter what, when they puch, they will punch is head off FACT! That's why you see never this guy in a real fight!!
@martiallaw3620
@martiallaw3620 7 жыл бұрын
What a great comment :) Let me explain you something, first of all, I ve been only in 2 fights in my whole life, one fight in a street where I get my assed kicked by 4 persons " I was drunk and young. "By the way, English is not my native language" so sorry If I made some mistakes. Second fight was a boxing fight, "I won on points" because yes I did some martial arts, but I had never had the goal to be the best fighter or something. I never claimed that. I did 7 years of karate from 8 years old until around 15 years old. When I was 24, I trained boxing for one year, and than my last martial arts was when I was 25 till around 29. I trained MMA and BJJ. (Now I'm busy and fucking lazy) When I started to train boxing and after that mma, my eyes where openend. WHY? That's very simple! To be a good fighter or be someone that can use his technique's in a real fight you need to train different diciplines, like wrestling, BJJ, Thai boxing, Boxing and even some Full contact karate forms. Also you must understand in a real fight, you can better be in a great shape. Because fighting is tough as hell, in the ring or a cage or on the streets! You have to deal with enormous stress, because you enemy wants to hurt you as a motherfucker, maybe with some real evil guys they want to kill you. So we can all agree, in a fight everything can happens right? When I see geographical fighting like this, I can guarantee you, it wont help you to prepare yourself for a real fight, because look at any fight, I mean a real fight! Like in Prison, MMA, Tai Boxing, Full contact karate. You don't see these techniques and this approach of training with real fighters. Give me an example of real kung fu guys fighting real fights, they are rare, I can give you 10000 Examples of real fights with real martial artists, do you know why ? Because they are fucking real. They train hard, and they know what to do to prepare themselves for fighting. TRAIN HARD, BE IN A GREAT SHAPE, Sparring and grappling al these things will prepare yourself to minimalise the possibility that you get hurt in a fight! I don't see this in his way of training. By the way, I am 35 years old, kids and a wife! SO TEENAGER HERE FOR YOU

Ever heard of reflexes Mr.Skeptic? Someone can block jabs fine with fast reflexes. Also, yeah evading is very effective but blocking can also provide good opportunities for clinch and then elbows and knees. Also these techiques can do fine against a "good, fast jab". A good fast jab usually wont end a fight so its not a big deal. "OMG but it wont defend against the jab wahhhh". So many people talk about the jab like its gonna be the fight ender lol. It could be, but usually not. Jabs arent powerful strikes. However they are very useful in other ways besides actually striking your opponent.

Have some patience and learn to listen; not every Hongkonger is an English-speaker. At least he speaks the British English English
