I'm I the only one who actually read the title of the article? 5 reasons itadori is just like other Shonen hero's and (& 5 he's Unique) Everyone is reading this as if it's a list of 10 reasons he's like other protagonists and theory are reading it from the viewpoint of CBR is saying this is bad. First of literally half the article is listing reasons he's unique. Second the parts listing how he's the same as other hero's can also be viewed as positives. Yea itadori having a demon inside is somthing done by other shows. Maybe that's a good thing? CBR might being implying the parts of itadori that are similar are the good parts. Furthermore, even if they were listing it as a negative they literally say but Jujitsu Kisen is already adding elements to subvert this conversation in a fresh way. So they literally praise how well it's being executed even if it's familiar.

Honestly, the yuji now is far from being my favourite character, he might be 7th on the list. But he’s still gonna grow a lot more, so I am waiting for that. People say that Yuji is not that great and Yuta would be a better main character, but I’ll tell you this: Of course Yuji is gonna have a hard time being a jujutsu sorcerer. He has been adapting well, since he has incredible strength but he was never prepared mentally. Yuji had the most peaceful uneventful life, the most regular high school boy, despite his inhuman physical abilities. He never really had to go through any traumatic or personality defining events. And now all of a sudden you tell him he has to literally become an exorcist when the day before he didn’t even know cursed spirit existed in this world. If you think it’s easy I’d like to see you do that. Meanwhile, Yuta was mentally prepared. He had cursed energy his whole life, he had to go through bullying, and curses literally haunting him. This guy’s mental was already strong, he only had to work his physical abilities. But don’t worry Yuji is gonna get used to it and won’t be a confused orphan boy for ever.

Yes, but there are others with inhuman physical strength as well which are revealed to have heavenly restrictions, and since yuuji’s past is unknown, it’s impossible for him to be this strong without a reason. Jujutsu kaisen doesn’t do asspulls.

I was avoiding this anime. because it was main stream and thought it was gonna be some MHA type shit. watched the first episode. seeing ita hang out with some nerds was refreshing and a breathe of fresh air becausse I've only seen this in Mob phycho with Mob. and i love mob phycho. and ita lone is the reason i like the series for now...i kind of dislike the generic lone outcast troupe shonen has so seeing a protag with some friends and being nerdy was a great approach to his character. and i enjoyed how uncaring he was with the relic (or omethin.) and wasnt over defensive over something he just found. and his monologue about death is relatable o me personally. so over all ita good protag. great video!

CBR would complain about a horror movie saying that they got scared. If you watch shonen, you’re bound to get some common shonen tropes. If you watch isekai, you’ll get isekai tropes. If the story didn’t follow some shonen tropes, it wouldn’t be shonen, it would be another genre. And even with the tropes, as the person that made this video said, JJK has a unique way to these tropes that make it a really amazing and unique story.

i feel like these people just truly lack the comprehension that someone who has been surrounded by love is so kind to everyone and care about everyone. like i think some of you genuinely think good people who care about people, don't exist. Yuji was surrounded by love and the one person he considers family is dead now. then gets sucked into the world of JJK and foolishly thinks he can save people because again he's never been in that kind of world where people kinda have to be apathetic to death. something Yuji has just experienced mind you. So he believes he will be a savior which ends up blowing up in his face. But he is so loving because he's been given love from his life. His grandpa loves him, his friends love him, and his hometown gives him love and admiration. He cares about the people he went to school with, shown by him beating up bullies. Of course, Yuji will be full of love for others. It's his strength as a person. Of course it's something that is a drawback being a sorcerer, but that isn't a bad thing to have obstacles.

Yuji's Jujutsu "magic" is more complex? Divergent fist is a common feat *any* sorcerer can obtain. The only uniqueness that sets Yuji apart from them is his lag due to his superhuman strength. If you wanna talk about complexity, Choso's blood manipulation and Gojo's infinity technique are the epitome of complex. Also, Yuji a delinquent? Don't mix him up with Hakari. Lol I agree that Yuji, basically speedrun the entire Shounen MC trait,no backstory, random not properly explained ideology,doesn't give a Fuk about dying forsome reason cuz of his ideology, and as a cheryy on top he has a random Plot Convenience power(as every MC Shounen should have) he makes his enemies think he is there brother for some fuking reason. Just no explanation straight up speed run everything well if you don't think about the depth of each character it's actually pretty good

Um...his ideology was explained pretty clearly imo. Was pretty simple. He Definitley fears death. Or did we forget like episode 3 where he cried because he was about to die. Actually his ideology has continued to grow and change due to his experiences. The whole brother thing is still up in the air. Considering it hasn’t happened every single time. @@brimward122 well Junpei is a perfect example why I feel so cheezy on JJK look at his character just made specifically for Yuji to change his mind(if you read the manga that was basically the start where he changes) and got killed of so fast and where supposed to feel something about that, look at Yuji classmates just made just for Yuji character development I mean that's OK but JJK doesn't try to do much about that just make a character for that and they lose there purpose on the story,like they should have an effect on other characters or linger in the story more, well look at HxH the way they set up characters and have a huge effect on characters around them
