Love and Happiness is my most fav Al Green song. I first heard it via some kinda compilation CD my parents had and made them replay it about ten times. My Dad was so proud. I even learned how to play it on the guitar soon after. Ugh, its so damned good.

A song for you- DONNY HATHAWAY I love you more than you'll ever know- DONNY HATHAWAY Someday we'll all be free- DONNY HATHAWAY Donny Hathaway is seriously a very underrated underappreciated voice that in my opinion if he was still alive he would have been bigger than Stevie Wonder

Ok, this will probably sound weird, but: Younger me, mid-80s, traveling to my shitty night job as a hotel porter in Paris from a dangerous neighbourhood in the suburbs, and listening to this and other Al Green stuff on my Walkman (remember them?). It sort of took the edge off.

Love these R&B reactions. If you want a fun one, Luther VanDross - A House is not a Home (live). A performance from the 1986 NAACP awards. His cover of that song is so wonderful. The crowd reaction is just as good as his performance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/faaVe3WDg6eVgdE

I'm sure he appreciates the nice things you're saying, but, yeah, he ain't dead. Maybe you're thinking of Marvin Gaye?
@Hibbs4Prez4 жыл бұрын
The sad thing about this is that you are reacting to songs you've heard before but thank God for that because not enough people are reacting to his stuff on KZbin. The same goes for the vast majority of black artists. Meanwhile its the white singers who get all the reaction space, even by black youtubers who react to music. They are willing to cross racial boundaries to appreciate music. Meanwhile only a very small pocket of white KZbinrs will do the same; they are content in having folks appreciate white musicians (almost all of them men) only.
