You and Paul Cantelon did a great job with the song! I have a question though: How many different takes while recording did you need to get the song perfect?
@russelldawkins34085 жыл бұрын
@@alexshen8600 A single take, no edits. Paul is exceptional. If you want a treat, listen with the speakers ±45º off your frontal axis, not the usual 30º. This is a pure Blumlein recording and should be heard that way.

Thank you for this gift. May you and Paul be blessed every time it falls on the ears of an admiring listener. It's one of my favorite musical pieces.
@Beth-pf6oo3 жыл бұрын
This is one of my favorite pieces of music. You should be proud. I'm always curious about how easy or difficult a piano piece is, how difficult is this one? I think I read they grade piano players ability with Levels 1 thru 10, 10 being super advanced ( I could be completely wrong about all of that lol) . What level would a person be at what can play this particular piece?
@timvol23 жыл бұрын
@@Beth-pf6oo This song ranges from: Kinda easy to hard to wtf. I wouldn't suggest this for an intermediate player. I've been playing piano for a few years. I've been learning this piece for about 5 of those years. Not even joking. There are many parts that suggest Mr. Dawkins has gynormous hands and the glissandos in the middle (starting 3:42) are really difficult and your attention is split from the left hand which is doing it's own thing. That's actually what I've spent the majority of those 5 years trying to learn. Lol. While I can play the notes, I just can't perform this piece at speed.

I heard a clip of this recording on a Ram Dass documentary and had to find the full version. Wow. It speaks so much. Thank you for helping me to heal.

Hey, that's exactly where I heard this, watching Ram Dass docu few weeks ago and I was immediately hooked. Took me a few days to track it. Ever since I've been obsessed. Btw the version of "row... row your boat.. " was very cool too ! "Let's walk each other home .. "

Amazing film and one of the most amazing human beings of all time. Finding moments of happiness in nothing but his mind. We could all learn alot from this fine human being. Not sad; absolutely uplifting. This guy is a role model.

this movie reminds me of 1 Litre of Tears..(it's about a teenager who came to carry a disease that slowly unabled her from walking, talking, eating, and writing..it's a drama that'll literally make u cry 1 litre of tears..well, i think i cried more than a litre) both about real ppl who were diagnosed with illness that paralyzed them..n how they looked upon positive aspect of life rather than giving up.. it's just so inspiring how they went on, knowing they can never be 'normal' again..
