I see a few comments mentioning taxes, so let me clarify. I include sinking funds in my monthly budget. Those include all of my yearly expenses, which not only include taxes on what I earn but also property taxes, car registration, insurance, etc. Those are all included in my monthly goal, so I did not mention them separately, but rest assured, they are accounted for. ;)

It’s clear you’re on top of things. Which is a completely different case then many people who have debt. I have faith you’re gonna be OK. All three of you. Gd willing. Knocking on my armoire, which is made of wood, etc. Just to be safe. I’m a little superstitious if you didn’t figure it out. Lol hugs and keeping you guys- especially Aiden right now- in my thoughts and prayers too. ❤

I started doing UE & DD full time last year. I had a full time job that I quit due to it being a drain on my mental health. I worked for this company for 5 years and couldn’t do it any more. I missed so much time with my kids and family and my full time job was draining me emotionally and mentally. I’m not making as much doing gig work, but my mental health is 100x better and I get more time with my family. I know I won’t be doing gig work forever, but for now it’s paying my bills and allowing me the freedom I need to work on myself and spend time with my favorite people. I love watching your videos, you’re hilarious! I’m a local too (in the Tampa area). Love your content and I wish you nothing but success and happiness!

I don’t do it full-time anymore I usually dash and Sarasota area but I’m from Arcadia a small town in Florida. Sometimes I get good orders here sometimes I don’t. I haven’t DoorDash or Uber eats in months. I do have a normal full-time job doing irrigation work. Thank God for that it is weekly pay. I make decent money with that but just like she says any job has its setbacks for sure. As example it is Sunday and I don’t work tomorrow, because the job that was lined up rescheduled, just trying to watch out and say be careful of your choices. Good luck.

That’s the same reason I started it full time in central Florida. It could definitely pay more, but getting sun and natural beauty all day, seeing new towns, getting plenty of exercise, plus the freedom of time definitely beats being in an office or sitting at my computer all day. Hope it treats you well as long as you do it 👌🏾

Exactly. You don't have to drive all day unnecessarily. People's experience are different, like hers. I've been doing it for 2 years now and I only go out from 11 am, catch the lunch boost in fees, then return home at 2pm, rest, and 4 ,out at 5 till 9pm and I still make 100 plus daily. Depends on how affluent the area is. Lucky for me i make £££££s

This is great news! Once your son is better and you get back to a routine, you can Dash 3 or 4 days a week and get content for your channel. You can show days where you're just running errands, outings with your kids, working on your budget, etc. You're a likable, funny, and interesting person so that's why you're getting more viewers. It was so funny when you "confessed" by showing your Christmas tree was still up.

My roommate and friend is a single mom that was left with no choice but to DD full time. She’s been doing it for about a year now. I see firsthand the struggles she faces. The injuries, the vehicle wear and tear, the apartment issues, the DD rejection percentages, the crappy customers that order and don’t tip, flat tires all the time, roadwork and blocks, the amount of gas etc…. She still manages somehow because she has to. The struggles are similar to a regular job but also different, I guess it’s all about what issues you can handle and if you like the freedoms of being out in the world while working and not in 1 building all day.

The only way gig work is somewhat profitable is if you accept minimum $7 order and $2 per mile and constant. You are correct about car expenses and depreciation will shock many people with high mileage cars when its too late down the road. Accepting a $5 order while driving your car at your expense is ridiculous. 20 years ago if you asked a cab driver to pick up food for $5 and deliver it 2 miles away he would laugh in your face. ....20 YEARS AGO!!!! Today with costs of housing, food , gas etc are triple what it was 20 years ago and people accept $3 offers....LOL

I see ppl driving really nice cars and prob making payments on them and idk how they do it in my area the only way i think its really worth it is to buy a old car that still runs good and know how to work on it yourself. i do doordash but i bought my car for 1200$ and worse case scenario if the engine blows i can replace it myself for 4-600$ and i bought it with 106k on it and it has 138k now with no problems so far just maintenance things

Another consideration. Check with your car insurance. When delivering, you are using your car for "commercial" activity. Most standard insurance policies DO NOT cover "commercial" use, unless you add commercial use to your policy. Know a pizza delivery driver who got in a wreck while delivering and his insurance paid $0.00.

I think once you get into the flow of this combined with KZbin filming and editing, you can make quite decent money. Like make enough to pay your bills and then some. Just think, your first month you achieved almost what you needed by DD alone and KZbin allowed you to exceed that. What if you had done nothing at all and waited for approval from unemployment, you would still be waiting and not guaranteed to get it. Hope your channel grows exponentially!!! Now I need to get on making and editing videos. I have so much to share with everyone! I’ve kept my videos private for years, I need to get over it and just share them. I've just started dashing less than 3 months ago, and I have already gone through all the things you have listed in your video except for parade. On the topic of "time", I think you did have more time, considering the freedom you had to go dashing at different hours everyday, doing stuff around the house in the morning or taking the entire day off, which is such a blessing. I do understand that you still felt exhausted because "life" got in the way, but I am so inspired by your journey and I want to thank you for sharing it with us out there. Many people on assistance work. The majority of people on “welfare” as you describe genuinely need the assistance. So welfare or worker it makes no difference, if we’re fortunate we should help those who are less fortunate or have fallen on hard times. We all have been or may be in a bad position at least once in our lives. So your comment isn’t relevant or funny.

Tipping for doing your job? The entitlement of these woke leftists is unreal. Definitely wouldn’t want her delivering my order.

The tip culture is stupid. These employers should be paying the full cost of their employees instead of relying on random generosity of their customers.

I remember few years ago, my grandma fell the same way, her foot hit the curbside except she fell flat on her stomach and hit her face. I was so sad, and angry that I wasn’t there to help her thankfully my brother and sister was there to help her and didn’t need to go the the ER but it’s part of life people trip and fall unexpectedly no matter how careful you are. I especially don’t like seeing the elderly fall. She is now with the Lord. By the way Thanks for these videos meaty mama and stay safe out there! #Giglife 🙌

I am not a delivery person but I order lots… both groceries and hot food items. Where I live I have developed relationships with drivers and they get my orders most frequently. I’m not sure how that happens. If they just watch for them or what … I do tip extremely well. I do this because I value the service and respect the person providing it. I am a SAHM but I have 7 special needs kids. I can’t always get out of my house. This service is invaluable to me. And a person who takes extra care and does a great job always gets more when they drop off as well. ❤🙏🏻 to everyone who gets out and does this.

Plus you can create your hours work hours big benefit to you with the kids. Once the debts are pain & you have some emergency saved you can work less hours. Its going to all come together & hope door dash & uber eats start paying better. Great video for anyone interested in starting out. Hang in there Mama!!!

Subscribed to support you 😊 I've never done deliveies, but if i had to, i would absolutely try it. I worked some hourly paid jobs that i hated and only made $350 a week after all deductions (working for the Red Cross is one). We had blood drives all over the place and we were expected to pay for gas and car expenses, so after that it was probably $300 a week for 40 hours of work. What's what I call a scam!

You never mentioned crap weather most of my life was in NY now I am in Florida. The weather is HUGE! On another note note , had a friend doing Uber eats in Tampa , he liked it to supplement his social security . He averaged four to five flats monthly! He passed away in his car also! He was found by police died alone! So keep all this in mind besides other variables!!

Love the compilation video!! I do Instacart because my young adult son has a medical condition that keeps him from driving, so I drive him to his college classes and whatever he needs to do. Gig work is the only job that gives me the flexibility to be available for my family. I do a little DoorDash, but I prefer Instacart. I drive a minivan, so I have to be super picky about mileage. I try to pick orders going in whatever direction I’m already going. I take the kid to class 30 minutes away and try to grab an IC order heading towards home, might as well get paid to drive where I’m going anyway. Keep it up Mama! Thanks for sharing the updates on your son.

I’ve been taking people to medical appointments, the ones where they hey want you accompanied for family or a friend ( colonoscopies, wisdom teeth removed, etc). You’d be surprised how many people have no one to help. I bring books to read while I wait and afterward I get them home safe with their post-op instructions and meds. It’s something maybe you could do too. Pays well right away.

This is really a great look at the insight of door dash and other food delivery services. This looks like a great way for someone to make money if there unemployed or retired and just want something to do and looking for extra cash. This is probably not a make a living type of full time job. Thank you for your videos.
