Owner-operator truck drivers, small farmers, and the like do full inframe rebuilds outside, in the yard or driveway all the time in the US, and it's done without removing the engine. If you knew anything about Americans, you would know there is a large swath of rural America, full of people who get it done on the daily, in conditions similar to those in this video. And unlike those in this video, some Americans are doing this work outside in freezing temperatures as well. Those 3000 series cats, the engine in this video, are some of the most reliable, simple, and easy to work on engines made in the heavy duty category. This one will run for a while, and with labor cost at pennies per day, that works fine in their local economy.
