Beer cans lie all the time about where they were brewed, especially cheap beer. But just so happens fosters is actually like one of the few that don't lie. for instance, blue moon is really just made by coors, or mickeys is actually made by miller, but fosters is actually made by fosters lol.

I'm Australian and just cringe everytime I see a can of Fosters. It's basically a dinosaur in Australia and you have to search hard to find it in retail stores. Pro tip: If you come to Australia, don't ask for it, plenty of better stuff on offer (although a lot of our beers suck, most made by the same brewing company)
