My husband and I first tasted amazing Turkish lentil soup in the Brick Lane area of London and fell in love with it. Since there are no Turkish restaurants (and few Mediterranean ones) near where we live I've been wanting to try and make it now that we're back home in the U.S. I look forward to trying this.

You call them lentils but we call that Peas...Split Peas Soup. We know the dark brown pea as Lentils.
