I was diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago and underwent surgery. My Oncologist wants me to change my eating habits and suggested Mediterranean foods which is food that I love but don’t have a ton of experience cooking it. This Shawarma looks amazing and will be my first dish to cook. I am sooooooooo excited to learn more. Thank you, Suzy!!!!! ❤️

Made this Friday and it was amazing our 11 year old and 6 year old liked this. I stuffed my pita with salad and chicken and hummus they finished half a pitta and asked for the other half. Thank you it is a good start to my new year eating healthy resolution.

i always ended up watching your video after midnight and now I am in trouble, no foods to eat in the kitchen. if you live in South East Asia and Southern Asia, you can get all recipes from this video and even more than that the spices are endless here. e.g Combine the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cardamom seeds, peppercorns, fennel seeds, mustard seeds, cloves, and red chile peppers in a small skillet over medium-low heat. Toast until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Grind the toasted spices in a clean coffee grinder or spice mill to a fine powder.

Washing meat is a common misconception, you kill the bacteria on meat when cooking. If you mean to marinate it in vinegar then that’s different as it will make the meat soft but it’s optional.

@@ACS402010 meat processing plants aren't as clean as you think..I know from experience..I always wash my meat..it's really not because of the bacteria aspect because you're absolutely right about cooking killing the bacteria..but washing because of other stuff that settles on the meat💚

@@leandreaatkins4224 Sadly most food nutritionists suggest that washing meat, especially chicken introduces more bacteria onto the meat than not washing. If there are juices present in your 'from the market' wrap, just dry with a paper towel and handle as little as possible with the naked hand.

That's because the Mediterranean diet uses healthy fats as an energy source. It's much more sustainable than carbs. Carbs give a sugar spike and drop, as carbs turn into sugar in the body. They do eat carbs in their natural state but not much. Also you don't put on weight from health fats if you know what you're doing.

No need to. All the bacteria on the surface gets killed during cooking. In fact it’s less sanitary to wash your chicken in your sink as you risk splashing bacteria into your countertops/rags/sponges/etc.
