"Cut off a head, and another springs forth" I thought this line reffered, obviously, to the hydra, but could it also be a refference to how in Castlevania 1 (the game this song comes from) when you defeat Dracula's first form, his head goes off and flies away, then he has a head again in his monster form?

I'd like to point out that if we're assuming that the Megas (in a lore perspective) were chronicling the life of an actual Mega Man, this means that the Belmont Clan's fight against Dracula is in the same universe as Rock's battle against Wily.

Plot twist: It is. Wily is the most recent heir to Dracula's power. Why do you think Wily has a castle? It's Dracula's castle adapted to the time period they're in. Why do the robot masters, Rock, and Roll seem so human despite being machines? Alchemy. That's why Skull Man collects souls in his song on the Skulls album. Because these souls have been alchemized into the machines. Doctor Light is a descendant of the Belmont clan. Too old to fight Wily now, he sent his son to do it for him (figuratively passing on the title of vampire hunter onto someone long after the term was forgotten by most people). That's why he has, like, no remorse for it in his song(s). It's family tradition. It has to happen and/or was going to happen eventually. That's why Rock is SO DETERMINED to keep fighting Wily, because if he didn't Evil would reign. That's why Rock was willing to KILL Wily (despite the laws of robotics), because that's usually what it comes to when dealing with an Heir to Dracula's power. Megaman and Castlevania (sung by The Megas/The Belmonts) is the same timeline. (this is not to be taken seriously, it was just really fun to think about)

As "Out of Time" is one of my favorite castlevania songs, the Megas have really made it truly incredible to listen to.

I’d like to mention that if we’re following the tracks as if they’re in chronological order, this would actually be at the end of Simon’s quest, where he battles Dracula after slowly dying for seven years on account of failing to kill him the first time around. Given the song is called Out of Time, well.. makes sense.

This song actually first appears in the original Castlevania in the level you fight Dracula on. With that in mind, I see this song more like Simon attempted to assassinate Dracula while he was still resting in his coffin. The song being titled, "Out of Time" meaning that he was too late and the "Lord of Darkness shall rise". This also fits with the game as when you go to finally battle Dracula, he rises out of the floor as if waking up.

Castlevania is the perfect next place for the Megas to go. Both it and Mega Man were very popular franchises that pushed the technical limits of the old NES consoles, and both still have a huge following. It is only by cruel fate that Mega Man lost its direction over the years and never really evolved into the mature, dark story hinted at in bright, 8-bit colors while Castlevania lived on and was fully able to realize its nature on modern consoles. Anyway, great song and I'd love to see more!
