This is the first time I've heard Jolly Roger's full warning since I rode it twenty years ago. Since people are comparing Walt Disney World's Pirates to Disneyland's, The Florida version Is a third shorter since they were not going to build a POTC there. It was going to be Western River Expedition in Frontier land, but that was going to be too expensive, so in 1975they opened a truncated Pirates with one drop instead. I guess there was a budget problem as to why it's shorter. The Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland Paris is longer with three drops .

LMG Vids Cool. I was looking at the Panasonic GH4. It's just hard to find good reviews of low light cameras online.

a gh4 is not a good low light preformer :/ cameras with a full frame usually tend to have much better low light :)

+LMG Vids Thanks for the camera hint. I recreate the rides in video for the family when we can't afford to go. I have never been able to get good, dark ride results with my Canon H20, so I will do some low light tests with our Canon EOS60D. If that proves worthy, I will try again.

At 7:30 there's a Hidden Goofy rock formation in the Left located above the ceiling. You can't see this on video. But Nice video!!!!!! Better and better!!! You deserve more viewers!!!!

How do you do this. These rides are NO WHERE NEAR this bright, like for Haunted mansion I could see the ceiling an you cant in real life and pretty much any camera will just make it even darker. What do you do to make these rides so bright. Not complaining cause you have the videos of rides with the most wacthable and non dark footage I have ever seen and it helps me pretend im actually there.

I'm terrified of big drops but I do fine w the drop @ POTC in Orlando??? Would they b the same???

there are only two drops in disneyland's potc. the first drop is the largest and is around the same size as the one in orlando. the second drop in the ride is much shorter :) btw great videos on ur channel :D

California's 1st drop (the larger of the two) is about same height as the one in Orlando, however Orlando's is actually much, much steeper. The second one in California is about 1/2 of the height and steepness of Orlando's.

Is the 3rd drop you r talking about the tiny dip after the final lift? If so, that one is only like 2 or 3 feet.

Bryan George I have noticed in my many trips over the years that certain characters will come and go. Most likely for maintenance or service. One day the donkey will be there, then gone, then back within the same week. Same for the pirate who is holding all the hats. The pirate that dangles his foot near the end.

The drop is 8 feet and you don’t feel butterflies at all, it’s actually really Fun because you feel a bunch of wind blowing on your face while in the drop, what also makes it fun is that it’s in the complete pitch black
