I have much respect for any/all pilots who have the courage to brave across any oceans. Pilots who cross directly - nonstop - carrying extra fuel to do so, are, in my opinion, real giants of aviation. Defying the Atlantic and crossing directly - North America to Europe or vice-versa, in a single piston engine or light twin, is a feat which has only been accomplished by a tiny handful of aviators. Be safe everyone. Cheers.

Nicely done... I am sure this time around is just as exciting as the first, but possibly there are things you get to "see/notice" more on this pass. Enjoying seeing the differences in how you and FC are sharing the same Trip but form your own view and experience. All the best!!

Micke, like I said to Steve, if I could get my medical back, and if I had the money to buy an airplane (I don't have it), the DA42 is at the top of my list. Watching you fly it across the Atlantic is a real treat, and I thank you for sharing your part of this trip with us. The ONLY think I could possibly even wish for is instead of the AE-300s in the -42 that it got upgraded to the AE330s to get a true 200+ knot airplane. But, it doesn't really matter because I am probably not going to be getting one anyway. :)

Greetings from the UK! Full of admiration for you doing this Micke 👏. I wouldn't have been comfortable doing this and I've got an ATPL. I remember my first solo cross country trip to this day and it has nothing on this. Very professional, love your enthusiasm! Glad you like our Castle but it has nothing Hochosterwitz eh?

Thank Andy for watching! I would also not be comfortable doing this alone for the first time. It was very helpful that I did that back in 2018 as a "passenger" and now with Martin ahead :) But now I am ready for more ;)

How did you get the opportunity to be a diamond test pilot?
@MickeLang
@MickeLang 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Oscar, I am not a test pilot. For that I would need a whole different kind of license. I work in flight operations and we do almost all the flying in the company besides of real test flying☺️
