As a Bangladeshi let me clarify some points: Bangladesh had a corrupted Government for 16 years and they stolen trillions of dollars from our reserve and mega projects ! Despite having one of the few best GDP per Capita county Bangladesh is facing financial problems and political once, now we got a new government they are trying their best to solve previous problems but it would take time !! Where it comes to fighter jet or any other military weapons we are laking is becose of the previous Government and indian influence over our politics, India never wanted us to become strong , for that reason we are facing shortage of fighter jets, I hope our government will take necessary steps to buy J-10C or euro-fighter typhoon 🇧🇩

But the problem is that we're not lucky enough to get friendly neighbors. Myanmar air force helicopters many times violated Bangladesh airspace & they kidnapped Bangladeshi fishermen & snatched boats in the river naph. Janta Army intentionally pushed Rohinga Minorities into Bangladesh which is one of largest exodus.Recently they published a map where they included our territory in their maps. Acquiring a stealth or 5th-generation fighter jet is not just about having it. It also requires a high level of maintenance costs and the availability of modern airbases, which Bangladesh does not have. They also don't have the financial capacity to support all these requirements just to get some 5th-generation fighters. Most importantly, they have bigger problems to solve within the country. On the other hand, I personally don't think the J-10C is capable enough either. While we already have over 50 MiG-29s, why go for this small upgrade? We need a better, proven option like the Su-35s, typhoon or rafale.

?! Bangladesh has 8 Mig 29s not 50. We have about 40 F7s. We can handle the J10C but we need to train up our ground crew. We can bring some from Pakistan to help train our crews. Gradually we can partner with Pakistani and Turkish aerospace industries to bolster our aerospace industry.

We don't need any European platform like Rafael, Typhoon or Russian Su 35. These platforms are expensive and are prone to influence by India. India from time to time will use its soft power to persuade the manufacturers of these platforms to distrupt the supply of parts. We need to pursue a platform that is free of Indian influence. Chinese, Pakistani and Turkish are such platforms.
